Unit 3 On Vacation

This is the third unit of the fifth grade English book Making plans, which requires
students to talk about their vacation experiences based on the original English
knowl edge and use the appropriate sentence patterns for skilled questioning and
description.

Step 1. Free talk

Step 2. Warm-up
1. Listen and look.
2. Answer the questions:
(1) Is next week a holiday?
(2) Who is Jenny going to have a picnic with ?
(3) What is Gogo go ing to do in the vacation?
(4) What is he going to do there?
Step 3. Presentation
1. T：Next week is a vacation, I’m going to go to Beijing. I’m going to visit
relatives and play with friends.. First , We are going to have a picnic in the park, and
I’m going to take photos.
Then, I’m going to make models with my cousin.
After that , I’m going to read books and surf the Internet . When I’m free, I’m go
ing to help Dad. I’m going to have a good time! What are you goi ng to do
on vacation?
