For many of us, education has been shaped by a pretty traditionalnarrative(叙述): you stay on campus, take tests, graduate, and finally, land a job. Sounds straightforward, right? But beneath this tidy surface lies a world of pressure and anxiety.

Lifelong learning goes beyond our classrooms. It’s about embracing the idea that we can learn from every experience, every interaction, and every stumble along the way.

Take the story of a local barista (咖啡师) I met a while back. She started off her journey in a community college, but life threw her a curveball, and she had to drop out. Did she stop learning? Absolutely not! She began reading voraciously(贪婪地), enrolled in online courses, and eventually became a respected coffee consultant. Her passion for learning didn’t depend on formal education; it flourished outside of it. Isn’t that superinspiring?
