虚拟省if要倒装，
so/not代从句；
spend trouble省介词，
主be同才省状；
被动to要还原，
规则记牢不迷糊。

一、if 虚拟条件句的省略:

规则：if从句有were / had / should，省if，倒装

1. Were I you, I would take the chance.
= If I were you, I would take the chance.
如果我是你，我会抓住这次机会。

2. Had he studied harder, he would have passed the exam.
= If he had studied harder, he would have passed the exam.
要是他当初更努力学习，就通过考试了。

二、not/so替代从句的省略:

用so/not代替上文完整宾语从句，避免重复

1. —Do you think he will come?
—I think so.（so=that he will come）

2. —Is it going to rain?
—I hope not.（not=it is not going to rain）

❗易错：I don’t think so ✔
（少数动词hope除外）

三、介词的省略:

• spend time (in) doing sth （in可省）

• have difficulty/trouble (in) doing sth（in可省）

• prevent/stop sb (from) doing sth（from可省）

四、固定句型中to be省略

as … as possible = as … as (it is) possible
Please run as fast as possible.

五、【超级易错】

1. 状语从句省略前提两个条件缺一不可：
①从句主语=主句主语；
②从句含有be动词，少一个都不能省！
（主语不一致，不能省）

2. 不定式否定式省略：not to，to不能丢
—Don’t forget to …
—I try not to.（不能说I try not）

3. 感官/使役动词被动形式 to不能省略
He was seen to go out.（to必须还原）
