Dear Chris,
I'm writing to share with you my volunteering at an animal adoption last Saturday. So
meaningful and fascinating was theexperience that ittruly left mea deep impression.
My responsibilities included preparing food and water, cleaning kennels, and introducing
abandoned animals to potential adopters. I also assisted visitors in completing adoption paperwork
and distributed educational brochures onresponsiblepet ownership.
The experience was deeply rewarding. My heart swelled with joy each time a pet found a
loving family. This event reinforced my belief in compassion. I sincerely hope more people will
support such initiatives togive theseinnocent lives thecare they deserve.

My heart ached and I decided to act. “Your scar isn't a weakness, Tom. Scars are just proof
that you've overcome something." I said by the riverbank, pointing at ripples. “See how water flows
around rocks? It doesn't hide them — it makes them shine." After weeks of encouragement, he
finally agreed to dip his toes in. Progress was slow.At first, Tom clung to the shallow end, flinching
whenever someone glanced his way. But with patience, he learned to float, then paddle. The scar?
Nobody noticed —orifthey did,noonementioned it.
Before the sports festival, Tom had mastered freestyle. In the 4x400m relay, Tom anchored
the final leg with his team trailing. His powerful strokes cut through the water, overtaking two
opponents in the last 100 meters. When he touched the wall, the scoreboard flashed our class
number--1st Place. Overcome with emotion, Tom hoisted himself onto the pool deck and raised his
left arm proudly. The silvery scar gleamed under the stadium lights as cheers erupted. No longer
hidden, itbecamea symbol ofhis courage--proof that shadows could be outswum bydetermination.
