Dear Tom,
Recently we've learned how to appreciate poems from English lessons. It is believed that poetry is th
e combination of “sound” and “sense”. In terms of sound, rhymes and rhythm are two key elements
in poetry. Thanks to them, a poem may seem much more easily understood. As for sense, it is the image
s created and emotions within that make poems beautiful and powerful.
I'm really interested in poems and I wonder if you have other suggestions on appreciating them. For
instance, how to get the same feeling as the writer's when reading the poem?
Looking forward to your reply.
Yours,
Li Hua

dancers, immersing themselves in the beautiful melody. The other kids watched their elegant movement
with great admiration. That night, both of them enjoyed the sweet night, their heart overflowing with gre

days of my life." A surge of pride welling up in Mike's heart, he was delighted he made the right decision.
