原题 阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
I met Gunter on a cold, wet and unforgettable evening in September. I had planned to fly to Vienna and take a
bus to Prague for a conference. Due to a big storm, my flight had been delayed by an hour and a half. I touched down
in Vienna just 30 minutes before the departure of the last bus to Prague. The moment I got off the plane, I ran like
crazy through the airport building and jumped into the first taxi on the rank without a second thought.
That was when I met Gunter. I told him where I was going, but he said he hadn't heard of the bus station. I
thought my pronunciation was the problem, so I explained again more slowly, but he still looked confused. When I
was about to give up, Gunter fished out his little phone and rang up a friend. After a heated discussion that lasted for
what seemed like a century, Gunter put his phone down and started the car.
Finally, with just two minutes to spare we rolled into the bus station. Thankfully, there was a long queue (队
列) still waiting to board the bus. Gunter parked the taxi behind the bus, turned around, and looked at me with a big
smile on his face. "We made it," he said.
Just then I realised that I had zero cash in my wallet. I flashed him an apologetic smile as I pulled out my
Portuguese bankcard. He tried it several times, but the card machine just did not play along. A feeling of helplessness
washed over me as I saw the bus queue thinning out.
At this moment, Gunter pointed towards the waiting hall of the bus station. There, at the entrance, was a cash
machine. I jumped out of the car, made a mad run for the machine, and popped my card in, only to read the message:
"Out of order. Sorry."

Writing2【2022浙江6月卷】
I needed to do something in my community (社区) in order to complete the community service hours
required to graduate from high school. Some of my friends had signed up to spend time at a soup kitchen, so I did,
too. It seemed like a good thing to do.
I thought that we would just be passing out dinners to those in need, but I found out we would be doing
everything from preparing to serving the dinner. We began preparing the food, from mixing salad dressing to
separating frozen meat. Much still needed to be done before dinner was served, but already outside the building
many homeless people were gathering. It wasn’t until a couple of hours later that we opened the doors and began
serving dinner.
As the line of people came toward me, I got a little scared. I’d come face to face with the homeless: How
should I act? How would they treat me? Would they hate me for having more than they did? While some of the
people looked very friendly, some of them looked so dangerous. I didn’t have too much time to worry about it. I
was assigned (分配) to serve the salad with the lady next to me. She smiled at me and said if I needed help, she’d
be right there, which I found quite comforting.
I had never seen so many people wanting food. They were of all ages and nationalities. Most of them wore
clothes that were torn and dirty. Some looked like they had tally given up on life, while others seemed to be making
the best of the situation, smiling and joking. Some were better off than others, but they all needed a good meal and
a warm place to eat. It saddened me to think of how many people there were who didn’t have a place to call home
and the only food they got came from a soup kitchen.

The Meredith family lived in a small community. As the economy was in decline, some people in the town
had lost their jobs. Many of their families were struggling to make ends meet. People were trying to help each other
meet the challenges.
Mrs. Meredith was a most kind and thoughtful woman. She spent a great deal of time visiting the poor. She

his wife, who took care of him and could not go out to work, and their little boy. The little boy -his name was
Bernard-had interested her very much.
“I wish you could see him,” she said to her own children, John, Harry, and Clara. “He is such a help to his
mother. He wants very much to earn some money, but I don't see what he can do.”
After their mother left the room, the children sat thinking about Bernard. “I wish we could help him to earn
money,” said Clara. “His family is suffering so much.”
“So do I,” said Harry. “We really should do something to assist them.”
For some moments, John said nothing, but, suddenly, he sprang to his feet and cried, “I have a great idea! I
have a solution that we can all help accomplish (完成).”
The other children also jumped up all attention. When John had an idea, it was sure to be a good one. “I tellyou what we can do,” said John. “You know that big box of corn Uncle John sent us? Well, we can make popcorn

It was a hot summer day. The sun was shining brightly and the birds were singing in the trees. I was on my
way to the park to meet my friends. As I walked, I saw an old man sitting on a bench. He looked very tired and
thirsty. I decided to go and buy him a bottle of water.
When I came back with the water, the old man was still there. I handed him the bottle and he thanked me
with a smile. He told me that he had been walking for a long time and was very grateful for my kindness. I sat down
next to him and we started chatting. He told me about his life and how he used to be a teacher. I was really
interested in his stories and listened attentively.
Suddenly, a little boy came running up to us. He looked at the old man and then at me. He said, “Grandpa,
I’ve been looking for you everywhere. Are you okay?” The old man smiled and said, “Yes, I’m fine. This kind young
person bought me some water.” The little boy thanked me and then took the old man’s hand. “Let’s go home,
Grandpa,” he said. The old man nodded and got up. He turned to me and said, “Thank you again. You are a very kind
person.” I watched them walk away and felt a warm feeling in my heart.

In the busy city where the night lights twinkled (闪烁) like a thousand stars, 15-year-old Johnson and his
younger sister Catherine, aged 8, were on the way to a concert venue.
As they made their way through the crowd, the siblings (兄妹) found themselves surrounded by a sea of
people, all eager to get a look at their favorite band. Then, in the middle of the celebration, an object lay unnoticed on
the ground — a wallet full of cash and other valuables.
Catherine spotted the wallet first. With a mixture of surprise and unease, her heart skipped a beat as she
picked it up, feeling the weight of the contents within. Johnson noticed his sister holding the wallet when turning to
see her.
“Look, Johnson,” Catherine whispered, her eyes wide with disbelief. “There’s so much money in it! We could
buy so much with this money. Last week, I saw a comic book named Hilda and the Mountain King by Luke Pearson in
the bookstore. I wanted to buy it very much, but I didn’t have the money.” Hearing what his younger sister said,
Johnson felt it was reasonable for them to keep the wallet. After all, they didn’t steal the wallet but they just found it.
What’s more, finances were a constant concern for his family.
However, Johnson’s initial excitement quickly gave way to a sense of responsibility. He knew the wallet
belonged to someone who must surely be extremely worried. The thought of keeping the money was inviting, buthis sense of right and wrong wouldn’t allow it. He looked at his sister. “We can’t keep this, Catherine,” Johnson said
firmly. “We have to find the owner.” Catherine nodded, though unwillingly.
They searched for any identifying information within the wallet. To their relief, they found a driver’s license
and a business card with the telephone number on it. The owner’s name happened to be Luke Pearson, just the
same as that of the author of the comic book Catherine wanted to buy last week. They didn’t know whether they
were the same person.

In the town of Eastview, the local community center had recently launched a “Neighbors Helping
Neighbors” program aimed at building closer community ties and providing support to those in need. The program
included a range of services such as meal deliveries, tutoring for students, and assistance with minor home repairs.
Volunteers from the community were encouraged to sign up and contribute their skills and time to help improve
the lives of their neighbors.
Julia, a recent college graduate who had moved back to Eastview, decided to volunteer for the program. Shesaw it as a perfect opportunity to give back to the community that had supported her upbringing. Julia chose to
focus on tutoring, as she had always excelled in math and science. She hoped to help students who were struggling in
these subjects, providing them not just with academic support, but also with confidence in their abilities.
On her first day as a tutor, Julia met with three students at the community center. She quickly established
close ties with them, making the sessions interactive and fun. The Students, who had initially been apprehensive
about the subject matter, began to show great interest.
“Math can actually be fun when you understand it!” one of the students exclaimed, a smile spreading across
his face as he solved a problem correctly.
Julia’s success with the tutoring sessions spread through the community, and soon more students began to
sign up. Seeing the positive impact she was making, Julia felt motivated to do more. She thought about other ways

At 29 years old, Ephraim is very proud of the life he is living at the present time- he has a beautiful wife as
well as two young sons and holds a steady job at the natural gas company. What he does at work is filling gas tanks
of all kinds of vehicles. He has come to accept himself. However, he still remembers his hard childhood, which is full
of teasing and bullying(欺凌). He still remembers that when he walked down the street, people would stare at his
face. Why?
This is because of the fact that Ephraim was born with a cleft lip(兔唇). He only attended school until he was 7
years old before he quit and never went back. Why did he do so? The reason was that the school children were so
cruel to him. As a result of this, he would rather stay at home than deal with those school children bullying him
because of his cleft condition. As Ephraim grew up, he gradually learned to be at peace with his cleft lip. And he did
not know that his cleft lip could be fixed until recently.
It was only a few weeks ago that Ephraim learned that an operation to repair his cleft lip was a possibility and
that it could be done completely free of charge. An unknown gentleman visited the natural gas company where
Ephraim has been working for years. And the gentleman told Ephraim about an organization which is called Operation
Smile. He said the organization provides free cleft operations. The gentleman left Ephraim the phone number for
Operation Smile before he said goodbye to Ephraim. As soon as the gentleman left, Ephraim called the number and
