Part I Writing
参考范文：
Nowadays, more and more students have realized the importance of self-discipline in
their personal growth. Self-discipline is generally the ability to control one’s emotions and
behaviors. It is essential to achieve academic success, boost self-confidence and maintain
emotional health.
On the one hand, self-discipline helps students manage their time effectively. Many
students do not know how to allocate their free time, so that they spend a lot of time playing
games. Through cultivating self-discipline, they can handle tasks in an orderly manner, control
the time spent on entertainment activities like playing games, and set aside sufficient time for
studying, thereby improving their academic performance. On the other hand, self-discipline
enhances students’ self-confidence. By setting and achieving small goals, students gradually
accumulate successful experiences. There is no doubt that when students believe they can
complete planned tasks and achieve expected results, they will become more confident.
Moreover, self-discipline contributes to emotional stability and mental health. Self-disciplined
students do better in handling stress and resisting temptations. This leads to a more balanced
and fulfilling life.
In conclusion, self-discipline plays an important role in students’ personal growth. It not
only aids in academic achievements but also helps enhance self-confidence and contributes to
emotional well-being.

Yangshan Port, as a crucial part of the Shanghai Shipping Center, stands as China’s first
deep-water port and ranks among the largest in the world. Following nearly two decades of
progress, Yangshan Port has attained a high level of automation. The implementation of digital
technology and artificial intelligence has significantly cut down labor costs and carbon
emissions. Our independently developed dock management system enables remote control of
1large equipment from a hundred kilometers away. Despite appearing bustling, Yangshan Port
operates without any manual intervention, capable of round-the-clock uninterrupted operations.
Yangshan Port will persist in its development, further contributing to the establishment of
Shanghai as a global shipping hub.
