Increasingly, lithium-ion batteries are vaulting out of pockets into power tools, vehicles, homes and even power stations. Carmakers in America, China and Japan are rushing to secure supplies of lithium to prepare for a more electric future. Such is the scramble, that the metal, used in small quantities in each battery cell, today is one of the world's only hot commodities.

Part 2

Such is the scramble, that the metal, used in small quantities in each battery cell, today is one of the world's only hot commodities.

主干为such is + 名词 + that从句，应该起强调作用。 正常的是sth is such that.,后面的句子是做such的同位语. That引导的同位语从句中，the metal是主语，used in small quantities in each battery cell 被动语态做定语，is系动词作谓语， one of the world's only hot commodities作表语。
