Cockroach Milk Wins a Funny Science Prize

A funny science prize has a strange winner this year: cockroachmilk! The Ig Nobel Chemistry Prize went to a study about the milk of a special cockroach.

This cockroach is very special. It is the only known cockroach that gives birth to live babies. The mother makes a milk-like food for her young. Scientists found this "milk" has three times more energy than normal milk.

But do not worry. Experts say we will not drink cockroachmilk soon. A cockroach is just too small! One day, scientists may use yeast to make the special protein.
