As a freshman, I have set a clear three-year plan for high school. In the first year, I will focus on
improving my English and math skills by joining study groups and attending extra classes. In the second
year, I plan to participate in various extracurricular activities, such as the debate club and volunteering
programs, to enhance my communication and leadership skills. In my final year, I aim to prepare for
university entrance exams and apply for scholarships.
I believe having a solid plan is essential for success. It helps me stay organized and motivated. By
following this plan, I hope to achieve my academic goals and develop into a well-rounded individual ready

planning to fail," and I believe a well-thought-out plan is essential for success.
Over the next three years, my primary focus will be on improving my academic performance. I aim to
excel in all subjects, especially in English and mathematics, as they are crucial for my future studies. In

the basketball team. These experiences will help me develop critical thinking skills, teamwork, and
leadership abilities.
Moreover, I will prioritize time management and self-discipline. By balancing study and leisure, I can
maintain a healthy lifestyle and stay motivated. My ultimate goal is to gain admission to a top university

Paragraph 1: It turned out to be a letter addressed to future people from my dad as a kid. As I
unfolded the fragile paper, I saw the messy handwriting of a child. The letter began, "To whoever finds this,
I hope you love this place as much as I do. My name is Tom, and this is my grandpa's house. I love playing
under the apple tree and building forts in the shed. If you're reading this, I hope you're having fun too. I bet
you never knew how fast you could run in this yard!" I smiled, imagining my dad as a young boy, carefree
and full of energy, scribbling down these words in a moment of joy. The letter ended with, "Take care of
this house. It's full of secrets and memories. And remember to keep smiling, just like I did."
Paragraph 2: Amazed by the letter, I raced to Dad in the house. Holding the yellowed paper carefully, I
burst into the room where Dad was still sorting through piles of documents. "Dad, you have to see this!" I
exclaimed, handing him the letter. He looked at me with a mix of curiosity and surprise, then unfolded the
note. As he read it, I watched his expression change. The frown on his face softened, and a faint smile
appeared. For a moment, he seemed to be transported back to his childhood, reconnecting with the boy he
once was. "I can't believe I wrote this," he murmured, more to himself than to me. Then, with a new
lightness in his voice, he said, "You know, Michael, maybe we should take a break and go sit under that
apple tree." And just like that, the distant, serious man I knew felt a little closer, a little more like the boy in
the photograph.

Paragraph 1: It turned out to be a letter addressed to future people from my dad as a kid.
Dad told the
future people that they had no flying cars nor household robots, so they had to do everything themselves. I
grinned as I scanned through the funny letter. My jaw almost dropped when he said he dreamed of a
vacation on Mars. That was not realistic at all, boy, I laughed to myself, eyes still fixed on the letter. “I
made you a time capsule. Tell your robot to dig under the apple tree in the yard.” He told the future people
at the end of the letter.
Paragraph 2: Amazed by the letter, I raced to Dad in the house. The poor man was still occupied with
sorting out Grandpa’s papers. I dropped the letter on the table and joked, “Why don’t you just have your
robot go through the papers? And how could people vacation on Mars? That was unrealistic. I mean ...” I
was laughing so hard that I could barely talk. Dad looked utterly bewildered (困惑不解的). Then he read
the letter, shook his head in disbelief and finally burst out laughing. “Come on, let’s dig out the time capsule
under the tree.” He strode (大步走) out to the yard. Suddenly I saw it! The boy with the water pipe.
A possible sample 3
Paragraph 1: It turned out to be a letter addressed to future people from my dad as a kid.
The
handwriting was shaky, with misspelled words here and there, but the message was clear. “Dear Future
Me,”it began,“I hope you still like climbing trees and playing in the rain. I bet you're still having fun with
your friends and building cool stuff. Maybe you even have a spaceship by now! Don’t ever stop dreaming
big, okay? The world is full of adventures waiting for you.” As I read the letter, I could almost hear my
dad's younger voice, full of hope and excitement for the future. It was a far cry from the serious, practical
man who stood frowning over the tax forms in the other room. I couldn't help but smile at the thought of
Dad as a kid, filled with so much wonder and imagination.
Paragraph 2: Amazed by the letter, I raced to Dad in the house. “Dad, you have to see this!” I called
out excitedly. He looked up from the pile of papers, a bit annoyed at first, but when he saw what I was
holding, his expression softened. He took the letter from me, and as he read it, a slow smile spread across
his face. “I can’t believe I wrote this,” he murmured, almost to himself. For a moment, he seemed lost in
thought, his mind clearly drifting back to his childhood. Then he looked at me, his eyes filled with a warmth
I hadn't seen in a long time.“You know, Michael,”he said,“maybe we should keep that old shredder after
all. It might just come in handy for more than paperwork.” We both laughed, and in that moment, I felt
closer to him than I had in years.

M: I am extremely shocked to know you are leaving, but totally understand that you feel the time is right to
experience something new.
W: Thank you. Yes, I've had two amazing years here at the company. You and everyone else made me feel
so welcome right from my first day.

W: Yes! The job doesn't start until September, so my husband and I are going to spend the next two
months traveling around Southeast Asia,(12) like Thailand. We'll visit some Pacific islands too, as well as
New Zealand, where my mom and dad live
M: And why not? I must say that does all sound rather attractive! I wish you the very best of luck. If you

position of where we are. But if I'm reading this map correctly, we should get there any minute
now.(15)
M: This journey has been pretty incredible, hasn't it?
We've been camping wild for three days now. We've
seen powerful eagles, plenty of wild goats, and we even caught sight of some sort of big cat!
W: I'm not sure whether it was a big cat. It was so far away. It was hard to tell. (16)
M: Either way, we've seen some amazing animals, sleeping under the stars at night...
W: Which was very cold...
M: It was cold, yes, but it was still amazing. We've had an adventure whichever way you look at it. It
certainly beats studying for our exams!(17)
W: That's true! (17) I'm so glad that's all over. How do you think the villagers will treat us when we
eventually reach the temple?
M: I've heard they are very welcoming to travelers.
W: Once we get past this rock, the temple should come into view...Oh, wow! There it is! It's beautiful!
Text 10
I've been living alone in London for a while now. (18) Everybody here is very kind to me, but there
are times when I feel homesick and get rather sad. It's bound to happen when you live far from home. I
sometimes get a little tired of cooking meals just for myself. Once a week I go to Soho. Soho is a part of
London where there are all sorts of restaurants: French, Italian, Greek, Spanish, Indian, and Chinese. So,
when I don't want to cook, I will go to one of the restaurants in Soho and have a meal there. Sometimes I
even treat myself to a bottle of wine. Wine isn't cheap in London-at least not when you buy it at a restaurant.
It isn't something we drink every day.
British people do not talk as much as we do. They are more reserved. (19) I've often traveled by
train and noticed that people seldom chat with each other during the journey. They like to keep themselves
to themselves. A British friend of mine, (20) who can speak seven languages, is also quite a quiet person.
But I've found one way to make him talk. He's very interested in mountain climbing. If I ask him about
climbing, he's always ready to talk. When it comes to that subject, he suddenly opens up. (20)

第一段(Para 1):
第二段(Para 2):

(2)父亲的反应:父亲在看到信后也开始回忆起自己的童年,并通过神态、动作和主角的对话描
