Goodness, hope and love

As is known to all, goodness, hope and love are always the main themes
of the literature works and real life.
In the literature society, we all know the poem written by a romantic and
talented poet Li Bai, Still Night Thought. It is very moving and easy
to understand. Shakespeare was a famous literary playwright whose
poetry, drama and novel are world-famous. Romeo and Juliet is one
of his masterpieces and one of the saddest scenes in this dram is when
Juliet kisses Romeo and then dies. Love stays in their hearts forever!
William Wordsworth who grew up in the Lake District in Northwest
England and overcame all his difficulties to take up writing used
simple language to describe common people and things. First of all, he
knew clearly that there is no royal road to learning and his aim is to
advance the arts of poem writing. A mysterious rainbow’s
appearance could give him an inspiration, “And I could wish my days
to be bound each to each by natural piety!” Therefore, we call this
human goodness, but few poets could follow in his footsteps later.
In my view, we would rather be moved by the goodness than watchthose charming actresses and educational programs rather than
those soap operas. THE GIFT OF THE MAGI was written by O. Henry.
Della and Jim who are husband and wife have two precious
possession s—the only wealth , Della’s long golden hair and Jim’s gold
watch. They couldn’t have lived through Christmas and neither of
them could fall asleep (They both kept awake all night) without giving
each other a present, so Della had her hair cut off to buy a gold watch
chain which Della hunted all over the town to find. And Jim sold his
gold watch to buy the combs with jeweled rims which his wife has
longed for them for a long time. When they exchanged their gifts, all of
a sudden, the couple realizes their presents are too nice to use just at
present, but eventually they possibly get the most precious gift from
each other- love, not pounds. No matter you like to watch classic novels
or modern ones, documentary giving facts or science fiction, tragedy
with a sad ending or comedy making us laugh, cartoon made with
drawing or any motion picture, they all express some positive and
active spirits, so do those hard-working directors of the films. All the
programs on TV mustn’t make people become violent or imitate
violence. This is the natural color and the performance of human nature.
We shouldn’t be absent in this.
We all know such a story. A coach, a monk and a principle weregood friends. They organized a small rescue Mission to have an
adventure in the northwestern desert in China. They wanted to save
one crew member who was their friend and couldn’t operate a
machine without an instruction in the desert and might be alive.
During the journey they had an argument, and the coach slapped the
principle. Without saying anything, the monk wrote in the sand, “Today
one of my best friends slapped the other in the face.” They kept on
walking till they found a pond. The principle got stuck in the mud and
started to sink. He cried sharply. He was pulled to safety from the
muddy pond by the coach in time. After the principle said thanks to his
friend formally, the monk carved on a stone, “Today one of my best
friends saved the other’s life.” The coach asked the monk why he did
something unlike before. Can you guess the response? The monk
replied like a narrator, “When someone hurts you, you should write it
in the sand from which the wind can erase it easily because of the
flowing sand. However, if someone does something good for you, you
should carve it on a stone from which the wind can never erase it
unless there is no stone there.” I believe they must find their friends and
their friendship indeed. It is a general review of friendship.
Can you imagine the special scene that you leave the school? You write
your thanks with colored chalks on the blackboard, “I will make thosevaluable and unforgettable memories in the bottom of my heart, my
dear teachers and classmates!” Everyone prepares dozens of presents
and exchanges them with each other. It is a custom, which your teacher,
friends and relatives come to congratulate you in a hurry. They all
give you big hugs. To my great joy, I can conclude that you feel
thankful and promise to recall and love them every day. The
diploma is a simple of your excellence and your new possibilities. At
the same time, more competitions and awards ceremony are waiting
for you. Can’t you see the goodness, hope and love in our hearts?
As a Chinese idiom says, “Everyone desires goodness, hope and love
and what’s more, everyone should remember the pursuit of goodness,
hope and love!”The statement tells us a truth.
