三、阅读 (共两节,满分35分)
第一节 阅读理解(共15小题,每小题2分,满分30分)
阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C和D项中,选出最佳选项,并在答题卡上将该项涂黑。
(A)
Dad: Sweetie, what great chrysanthemums you’ve drawn!
Ling: Yeah, they’re often used for mourning (哀悼), so I think
they fit the sadness of my picture.
Dad: That’s interesting, but did you know chrysanthemums
weren’t always mourning flowers, especially not in Chinese
culture?
Ling: Really?
Dad: Yes. Chrysanthemums come from China, and have been connected with long life, strength
and good luck for thousands of years in Chinese history.
Ling: Wait — so they didn’t mean death at all?
第4页 共 14 页
学科网(北京)股份有限公司Dad: Not in Chinese tradition. They come out in autumn and were especially loved during the
Chongyang Festival. Many famous poets admired them, and they were used in traditional
medicine.
Ling: I had no idea! So where did the “mourning flower” idea come from?
Dad: That started in Europe. Around 1789, Franco grew chrysanthemums for All Saints’ Day to
remember the dead.
Ling: So it’s not a Chinese idea?
Dad: Exactly! Also, Puccini, a famous Italian musician, wrote Crisantemi (Chrysanthemums) to
honor a friend’s death. The music piece connected the flower with mourning. Newspapers
gradually helped spread this across the world. After World War Ⅰ, chrysanthemums were used to
honor fallen soldiers. After World War Ⅱ, Japan followed Western customs. By the 1960s, white
and yellow chrysanthemums became their mourning flowers, influencing other Asian countries.
Ling: So when did it change in mainland China?
Dad: Not until the 1980s, with more Western and Japanese influences. By the early 2000s,
flower shops mostly sold chrysanthemums for mourning. It’s all because of foreign influences.
Ling: What a pity we forgot our tradition!
Dad: I know. Today, many see chrysanthemums as a symbol of death, but that’s not their true
meaning in our history. For thousands of years, they remained a symbol of life and celebration.
Ling: So how can we fix this misunderstanding?
Dad: Through education and festivals. Our city held a “Chongyang Chrysanthemum Festival”
last autumn to bring back the flower’s cultural meaning.
Ling: That sounds great! I want to go next time.
Dad: Why not? We should be proud of our traditions and not let outside ideas replace them.
Ling: Yes! I can’t agree more!

In Hechuan District of Chongqing lies Diaoyu City, a special place with a great story,
Diaoyu City was built during the Southern Song Dynasty. It is famous because the people there
were very brave and changed history.
There are three rivers around Diaoyu City: the Jialing River, the Qujiang River, and the
Fujiang River. Diaoyu City is on a high mountain which rises about 400 meters high, and its
sides are very steep. This made Diaoyu City very strong and hard to attack. Therefore, it was a
key military place which played an important role in historical battles, especially during the long
fighting against the Mongol (蒙古) army from 1243 to 1279.
The Mongols were very strong, but the people of Diaoyu City were brave and united. They
fought for 36 years to protect their home and never gave up. In one important battle, Wang Jian,
the general, led 4,600 soldiers to fight against 30,000 Mongol enemies successfully. And the
local people of Diaoyu City worked tirelessly to attend to the wounded soldiers. Their close

学科网(北京)股份有限公司care saved hundreds of lives. Finally, a historic turning point came in 1259 when Möngke Khan,
the Mongol leader, died during the battle outside Diaoyu City. Because of this, the Mongol army
had to go back.
The people of Diaoyu City showed that even a small place can do great things if people
work together and never give up. And the winning of Diaoyu City also helped stop the Mongols
from attacking more places around the world, which had a great influence on the world. Today,
visitors come to see the ancient walls, gates, and buildings and admire the bravery of the people

①Have you ever watched a hologram (全息影像) during a video call? What if you could
chat with your friend as real as standing face-to-face? This magic will probably be powered by
6G — the technology that China’s 2025 Two Sessions
marked as a national goal.
②Compared to 5G, 6G promises great improvements,
which will support much smoother connections between
humans, machines, and the environment, creating a world
where everything works smartly together.
③One major improvement is its unbelievably high
speed. With the highest speed reaching up to 100GB/s, it is expected to be 100 times faster than
5G. This speed allows users to download a movie within just one second.
④6G’s near-zero latency (延迟) is another step forward. With latency cut to 0.1
milliseconds, 6G makes real-time control possible. This means doctors will be able to operate on
patients thousands of miles away using real-time holographic tools. Meanwhile, self-driving cars
could quickly share real-time traffc condition, cutting accidents by 80%.
⑤Anything more exciting? By connecting towers on the ground with satellites close to
Earth, “no-service” areas will probably disappear forever. 6G could bring strong signals to every
corner of the planet—deep in the Amazon rainforest, at the top of Mount Qomolangma, or in the
middle of the Pacific Ocean, allowing anyone, anywhere, to share moments in real time.
⑥China is taking the lead in 6G research. Tech companies like Huawei and ZTE have
made great achievements. China successfully sent the world’s first 6G test satellite into space.
The government is also actively supporting plans like building test networks, setting national
standards, and helping researchers work with industries. By 2030, the government aims to make
6G available for everyone.
⑦Yet challenges remain. Developing 6G may cost 50 times more than 5G. Also,
第10页 共 14 页
学科网(北京)股份有限公司international cooperation on standard-setting is needed. But with China’s large market and
creative power, experts believe 6G is sure to become a reality and benefit humans in countless
ways.
⑧In conclusion, 6G isn’t just faster—it’s a key to a smarter world. As Chinese engineers
work tirelessly and push forward, one question remains: How will YOU use 6G to shape
tomorrow?
37.Which is the improvement of 6G over 5G?
A.It can achieve zero latency.
B.Its speed can reach at least 100GB/s.
C.It may cost 50 times more than 5G technology.
D.It makes a smarter world with better connections.
38.According to the text, which of the following has already been achieved in 6G technology?
A.Setting international standards.
B.Sending a test satellite into space.
C.Watching hologram during a video call.
D.Making 6G available for everyone in China.
39.Why does the article end with the underlined question?
A.To warn readers of possible risks of 6G technology.
B.To suggest readers plan for their future as early as possible.
C.To show readers the importance of taking a lead in 6G technology.
D.To encourage readers to think about their role in a 6G-powered world.
40.Which of the following shows the structure of the passage?

C. D.
