高考英语介词“from”的用法指南

表示“从……起，始于”，说明动作或事物的起始位置。

She began to walk away from him. 

她开始从他身边走开。

from是介词，后面接名词、代词、动名词（doing），不能接动词原形。

表示“阻止/保护”时常用from + doing：prevent / stop / keep / protect / save + sb/sth + from + doing

from ... to ... 结构用途广泛，可表示时间、空间、范围、数量、状态变化等。

from now on / from then on中on是副词，表示“从……起一直持续”。

date back to / date from两者均可表示“追溯到”，但date from常用一般现在时，date back to也常用一般现在时，且常与时间点连用。
