小学英语语法Day19｜会用There is和are

今天继续《小学英语语法小课堂》。

前面我们分别学习过 There is 和 There are。

今天不学习新的复杂规则，而是把两个句型放在一起，帮助孩子真正分清楚。

01 一个和多个，怎么表达？

当我们想说“某个地方有……”时，可以用：

There is + 单数名词

表示某处有一个人或物。

There are + 复数名词

表示某处有多个人或物。

例如：

There is a cat on the sofa.

沙发上有一只猫。

There is a book on the table.

桌子上有一本书。

There are two chairs in the room.

房间里有两把椅子。

There are some trees in the park.

公园里有一些树。

02 孩子容易错在哪里？

很多孩子知道 is 和 are，却容易忽略后面名词的单复数。

比如：

❌ There is three books.

✅ There are three books.

今天可以先记住一个简单方法：

一个用 There is，多个用 There are。

这里说的是可数名词的基础用法。以后还会学习不可数名词等其他情况。

03 今日小练习

选择正确答案：

① There _____ an apple on the table.

A. is　B. are

② There _____ some books on the shelf.

A. is　B. are

③ There _____ a dog in the garden.

A. is　B. are

答案：①A　②B　③A

04 家长可以这样陪孩子练习

今天带孩子观察房间里的物品。

看到床上有一只玩具熊：

There is a bear on the bed.

看到教室里有三张桌子：

There are three desks in the classroom.

家长可以先让孩子用中文描述，再尝试用英语表达。

不要急着纠正每一个小错误，先鼓励孩子观察、数一数，再选择 is 或 are。

英语语法不只是做对一道题，更重要的是能够描述自己看到的世界。
