AI Empowers My Life
Artificial Intelligence has become a powerful assistant that empowers my learning significantly.
A prime example is the AI-powered study app I use. It analyzes my performance, identifies
weaknesses, and creates personalized review plans, which saves me considerable time previously
spent on figuring out what to focus on.
Beyond efficiency, this tailored approach has boosted my confidence. The instant feedback and
encouragement make studying less stressful and more engaging. More importantly, it guides me to
develop effective learning habits. I’ve come to see AI not as a shortcut, but as an intelligent partner
that amplifies my efforts and helps me unlock my potential.
第二节 读后续写(满分25分)
The next morning, I open my eyes to the ceiling, but I still hear seagulls. I rub
my eyes, sit up and listen. Bird calls drift over the fields. Filled with curiosity, I creep
down the stairs onto the back porch and squint toward the sky. To my amazement, a silver
cloud of wings wheels above the freshly turned soils. I can’t believe my eyes. “Seagulls!”
I gulp. But how can that be? Thrilled yet confused, I hurry to Dad, who is already
working on the farm. “They are desert gulls, ”Dad says with a grin.
Dad tells me that these desert seagulls came here 150 years ago. They don’t seem
to mind that they don’t belong here. I close my eyes and listen to the gulls who havelived here forever. This place doesn’t feel like home. But I feel a piece of home sneaking
up on me anyway. I have something new to put on the list of New Things I Love. Maybe
seagulls aren’t new, but desert gulls are new to me. I wonder if a sea girl can learn to be
happy here, too. Maybe someday Mom, Dad, Ben, and I will be watching the rosy sunrise
and I’ll hear a gull shriek. I’ll say, “Reminds you of home, doesn’t it?”And it won’t matter
which home I mean.
附件1:听力原文
Text 1
W: I’ve just received a message from Sarah. She says she’ll be late for the family event tonight.
M: That’s all right, we can wait for her. Did she say why she’s running late?
W: Her train didn’t turn up so she has to catch a later one. (1)
Text 2
M: I was in the travel agency yesterday, and you’ll never guess who served me.
W: Not your old army friend again, was it?
M: It was Mr. Perkins from school. He’s about seventy now! He’s had a complete career change! (2)
Text 3
W: I really enjoyed that Mexican meal last night with your old college friends. They’re so funny!
M: That’s good. They’ve invited us to a reunion party next month. It’s at that new Italian restaurant we
went to four weeks ago.
W: It was French! (3)
Text 4
M: Hi, I’ve traveled by train all the way to this town as I’m meeting a friend. He said he’ll be in the old music
shop, but I don’t know where that is.
W: Carry on this main street and it’s the fourth building on the right. (4)
Text 5
W: A letter has just arrived. I think it’s my exam results. I daren’t open it.
M: Why not? I’d be very surprised if you hadn’t passed after all your hard work.
W: I suppose you’re right. But look at me. I’m shaking like a leaf. (5)
Text 6
M: Fancy going fishing this afternoon? (6) (7)
W: Sounds like a good idea. Where shall we go? (6)
M: How about the lake near the woods? (6) Plenty of fish in there. We could have a picnic.
W: That would be nice. I like the surroundings. (6)
M: Yes, it’s peaceful, isn’t it? Away from the noise of the town. Just what we need to relax. (6)
W: Absolutely! (6)
M: Got anything planned for tomorrow? (7)
W: Probably just relaxing at home to finish the weekend. (7) I need to do some gardening so I’ll

Text 7 (第8题为总结题)
W: Simon! (9) (10) Over here!
M: Hi Sarah.W: I can’t believe you actually made it to Biarritz! You cycled all the way from England to the south of France!
You must be so tired! It took long enough even by plane!
M: Well, I didn’t do it all in one go!
W: How far have you cycled altogether?
M: Well, I started off in Cardiff, where I live in Wales, and then cycled about 217 miles to Dover in the south
of England. (9)
W: Oh, so you started in Wales, not England?
M: That’s right. Then I caught a boat to Calais in northern France. (9) From there, I’ve clocked up about
another 510 miles to get here. It’s taken me a few weeks to stay in different camps and hotels.
W: And you’re staying at our hotel tonight?
M: Yes, before continuing to San Sebastián in Spain tomorrow. (10)
Text 8
W: Customer Service. How can I assist you?
M: I called two days ago about my missing package, and I’m still waiting for it. (11)
W: Can I have your order number, please? (11)
M: Sure, it’s 5487211.
W: Mr. Johnson, yes? I’m sorry to say there was an issue with the shipment. (11) (12)
M: What issue?
W: The package was broken on the truck while on its way to you, (12) (13) and we couldn’t send it until we
received a replacement from the warehouse, which, let me check, just arrived this morning. We apologize for
the inconvenience, sir.
M: That’s awful. I need it for a big sales presentation tomorrow afternoon. Can you get it to me in time? (13)
W: I’ll ship it out overnight at no cost to you. Expect it between ten and noon tomorrow. Are we still sending it to
385 Oak Street in Wilmington?
M: Yes, that’s correct.
Text 9
W: Wow. I love your new motorhome! (14) (15) (16)
M: Do you remember being kids wishing Mom and Dad had one? (14) Come on, let me show you around…
So, the driver goes here in this comfortable chair, with two passengers to the left.
W: It’s even got drink holders, and the onboard computer seems pretty cool too!
M: Oh, yes. It’s got Wi-Fi and all the modern technology that kids like! Let me show you the back… So, these
are seats for two more passengers, and if you turn them over, they turn into two single beds. There is
also a single bed above the driving seat and a double bed at the back of the motorhome. (15)
W: And this is the kitchen area over here?
M: Yes, it has everything. Mom would love cooking in here. There’s a fridge, oven (烤箱), toaster… Through this
door is a shower room and toilet. Press this button — it’s my favorite part! (16)
W: A hidden smart television! (16) Cool! Have you driven it anywhere yet? (17)
M: I drove it back to England from Wales, where I bought it, but nowhere on holiday yet. (17) But we’re
planning a big European adventure this summer. I’m taking my friends through France, Germany, and Italy,
and then back through France again on the way home.
W: Amazing! I wish I could come!
