方法④恰当使用非常形象地描述事物或反映细腻的感情色彩变化

一、描写外貌与性格的结构及句型
句型1 学会熟练使用with介词短语及with的复合结构，使人物外貌、性格表达活灵活现，生动形象。
典例1 ①She is a girl with a pair of black eyes.她是一个有一双黑眼睛的女孩。（介词短语作定语）
②She is a girl with lovely dimples on her round face.她是一个女孩，圆圆的脸上有几个可爱的小酒窝。（with的复
合结构作定语）

句型2 学会熟练使用定语从句，使人物外貌、性格表达信息更丰富。
典例2 ①He is a man with great determination.他是一个意志坚强的人。（with介词定语作定语）

③He is a man with great determination, of whom the perseverance is occasionally unimaginable./ He is a man with great

象的。（综合使用介词短语和定语从句）
句型3 学会熟练使用倒装句，突出人物形象的核心内容。
典例3 ①A pair of blue eyes and lovely dimples（酒窝）are on her round face.→
On her round face are a pair of blue eyes and lovely dimples（酒窝）. 在她的圆脸上，有一双黑眼睛和几个可爱的小
酒窝。(倒装句型)
②Such is Lin Qiaozhi, an easygoing, kind and warmhearted woman.这就是林巧稚，一个随和善良又热心肠的女人。
句型4 学会熟练使用并列连词and，突出人物形象的多种特征和品质。
典例4 ①Her face blushed with rosy health, and her lips had a freshest smiles, and her eyes sparkled with bright good-
nature.她脸色红润，显得很健康，嘴角挂着最明艳的笑意，眼睛里闪耀着欢快的光芒。
②She was dressed in white, a picture of youth, unprotected innocence, and humble girlish simplicity.她穿着一身白色衣服，
显得年轻美貌、天真烂漫，像个又温顺又单纯的姑娘。
句型5 学会熟练使用but，though和although，对比突出人物不同时期的特征，使表达更强烈。
典例 5①She looks as if she had been handsome once, but she is pale and thin and untidy and has not a word to say for
herself.看上去她从前长得相当漂亮，可现在苍白又消瘦，而且不大整洁，见了人不大说话。
②Although not a strong boy, there was nothing of the coward about him.他虽不是一个强壮的少年，但却没一点胆怯的
迹象。
句型6 学会熟练使用一些简单的修辞手法，使外貌、性格表达栩栩如生。
典例6 He is a boy but he is too shy like a little girl to speak in the public.他是一个男孩，可是他腼腆的像个小姑娘，
不敢在公共场合讲话。
句型7 学会熟练使用进行时描述人物形象，让人物活起来。
①Her big brown eyes are dancing with eagerness.她那双棕色的大眼睛急切地转动着。
②Her eyes were shining softly.她的眼光温柔地闪动着。
二、常用表达动作、行为的经典结构及句式
1.熟练使用介词短语、副词修饰动词，赋予人物动作丰富的情感。
①with+情感名词
with delight/excitement/ pleasure/ happiness /joy/satisfaction /anger/rage/patience/fear/terror/embarrassment/pride
/caution/care/patience/certainty
【例】Jack's face flushed/burned with embarrassment.杰克窘得满脸通红。
②with+身体部位
with its hungry red eyes/ its sharp teeth/her shaky hand/her pale lips等等
【例】She kissed Oliver with her pale lips.
此处用with her pale lips来修饰动作kiss，体现了母亲当时虚弱的状态，和对Oliver满满的爱。
③in+名词 in surprise/amazement/shock/sorrow伤心

In a tone of surprise /curiosity /impatience /regret /command 用...的语气
【例】He hung/dropped/lowered/bent/bowed his head in shame.他羞愧地低下了头。
④副词 suddenly /immediately /instantly /rapidly /firmly /slowly /angrily/happily/excitedly
【例】He carefully jumped over the broken glasses.
此处也可以把副词carefully提高句首，强调他的小心，效果更好。
高分表达：Carefully，he jumped over the broken glasses.
2.熟练使用一些简单的修辞手法，让你的写作更加形象生动。
【例】She went home in a flood of tears.她泪如泉涌地回家去了。
此处在动作描写中添加了in a flood of tears夸张描写，生动传神地体现她当时的情感状态。
3.使用时间状语从句，突出动作的发生背景。如when，while，as，before，after引导的时间状语从句来体现。
【例】① When I arrived there, I walked to the door and knocked.
② As I waited at the stop, I heard a big noise.
4.使用并列谓语动词让动作像电影一样，连续起来，让人物活起来，即 Action1 and Action2或者Action1，Action2
and Action3。
【例】① She hailed a taxi, got into it and told the driver her destination.
② He reached deep into his pocket , pulled out a handful of change, and held it up to the farmer.
5.使用非谓语来体现动作的即时性，同时尽显英语表达的功力。
⑴ V1-ing，V2 或者V1，V2-ing
【例】① Looking up at the teacher, the boy said, “Thank you.”
② Without any hesitation, he packed up his camping gear, heading straight to the woods没有多想，他收拾好野营装备
直奔树林。
⑵ V1 and V2, V3-ing 或者V1，V2-ing and V3-ing或者V1-ing，V2，V3-ing
【例】①Patting on my shoulder, my father encouraged me never to give up my dreams.
父亲拍着我的肩膀，鼓励我永远不要放弃自己的梦想。
② The students came in, talking and laughing.学生们说着，笑着走进来。
③ Hearing the cry, out rushed the neighbors, trying know what had happened
听到呼喊，邻居们冲了出来，想知道发生了什么。
⑶ Having done.., 主句
【例】①Having left my keys in the dormitory, I went back to get it.
= After I had left my keys in the dormitory, I went back to get it.
② Having thought about the situation for a while, I decided to give up the idea that I should go home.
=After I had thought about the situation for a while, I decided to give up the idea that I should go home.
这个句型可以和after引导的时间状语从句互换
6.综合使用各种手段，让人物在立体空间中动起来。
【例】①Burning with anger, he glared at me with his big frightening eyes , yelling, “You’re such an idiot.”
此处的burning with anger是情感描写，glare和yell是动作链，同时将动作和语言描写结合在了一起，形成了饱满
的动作面，属于高分表达。
② As night was beginning to fall, Jane sat on the grass, staring at the vast sky, frightened and ravenous饥饿的.
此处将环境描写，动作描写以及情感描写结合在一起，形成了饱满的动作面。

1.学会使用to one’s + n.（令某人....的是）结构表达情感和态度。
①to one's joy/delight 令某人高兴的是
②to one's surprise/astonishment 令某人惊奇的是
③to one's regret 使某人感到遗憾的是
【例】Much to her surprise he came back the next day. 让她非常吃惊的是他第二天就回来了。
2. 学会使用in + n =adv.（……地）结构表达情感和态度。
震惊、惊讶：in shock, in astonish, in amaze, in surprise etc
高兴、兴奋、激动：in excitement， in great joy，in delight etc
悲伤：in sorrow， in tears etc
【例】I live with my families everyday, and we live together in great joy. 我每天和家人生活在一起，很热闹。
3、学会使用 系动词+ 过去分词 +at/to do /that 从句结构将动作和情感、态度结合起来。
①Sb.+系动词+-ed. + at sth/doing 对某事感到……的
【例】I was surprised at his change. 我对他的改变感到惊讶。
②Sb.+系动词+-ed. + to do sth. 做某事感到……的
【例】We were very surprised to learn that she had got married again. 我们听说她又结婚了，感到很惊讶。
③Sb. +系动词+-ed.+that 从句
【例】They were amazed that I was talking in an Irish accent. 我说话带爱尔兰口音让他们感到很惊奇。
4. 学会使用 so…that…句型将情感、态度和结果结合起来。
【例】On hearing the news that he was admitted into the key university, he was so excited that he jumped for joy.当听到
他被重点大学录取的消息的时候，他非常激动以至于高兴地跳了起来。
5. 学会使用 it is…that…强调句型，突出情感、态度的重要作用。
【例】Further reading made me realize that it was hard work and determination as well as her gentle nature that got her
into medical school.进一步阅读有关她的文章让我意识到正是她的勤奋努力和决心以及她温柔的性格使她进入医学
学校的。
6. 学会使用形容词作状语将情感和态度的状态表达出来
【例】Speechless and happy, she held her son tightly into her arms, with tears welling up in her eyes.她说不出话
来，高兴极了，把儿子紧紧地抱在怀里，眼里噙满了泪水。
7. 学会使用让步状语从句将人物的情感和态度的高度表达出来
【例】①Though badly frightened, she remained outwardly composed. 她虽然非常害怕，但表面上依然很镇静。
②Upset as he was, he still went to work as usual.尽管他难过，我仍然一如既往的去工作。
