第四部分 写作
第一节
参考范文:
Dear Editor,
I’m Li Hua. I am writing to express my opinion about whether high
school students should have a two-day weekend.
I firmly hold the view that the high school students should have it. Firstly, a
two-day weekend provides us with more time to rest and relax. After a week of
concentrated study, we need enough time to balance study and leisure, which is
important for our physical and mental well-being. Secondly, having two days off
allows us to seek our hobbies and interests. We can use this time to read, play sports,
or engage in other activities that we enjoy. This not only enriches our life but also
broadens our horizons. Lastly, a two-day weekend gives us the opportunity to spend
more time with our families.
In conclusion, I strongly support the idea of a two-day weekend for us. It is
beneficial for our rest, personal development and family relationships.
Yours sincerely,
Li Hua Dear
Editor,
I’m Li Hua. I am writing to express my opinion about whether
high school students should have a two-day weekend.5I firmly hold the view that the high school students shouldn’t have it. Firstly, the
change from middle school to high school is significant. The increased academic
demands require more time for study and adaptation. A two-day weekend might lead
to delay and less time for effective learning. Secondly, high school is a period for
building a solid foundation for future education. Extra study time on weekends can
help students grasp subjects better. Lastly, a regular schedule with one day off can
keep a balance between study and rest.
In conclusion, I think a one-day weekend is more beneficial for high school
students to ensure they are well-prepared for their academic journey.
Sincerely,
Li Hua
第二节
参考范文:
Paragraph 1:
Ahmad was next and there was a sudden silence before he began. The claps were
few, coming from the principal, teachers and his only friend. Some low shouts of
disapproval came from a few disbelieving schoolmates of his who felt that he was not
qualified to be a finalist. Getting on the stage, he was determined to prove them
wrong. His song was Climb Every Mountain. He adapted his tone and expression to
the lyrics, and his delivery was extremely clear. He sang with such rich feelings and
his movements were appropriate and well harmonious.
Paragraph 2:
When Ahmad finished singing, there were very few dry eyes. Then there was
tense anticipation from the audience as the judges decided on the winner. In view of
Ahmad’s outstanding performance, the audience wondered who would be the final
winner. After a few anxious minutes of waiting, the results eventually came out.
When Mr. Tan, the chief judge announced Ahmad was the winner, the audience
present all cheered together and broke into thunderous applause. Getting widely
recognized, Ahmad was excited with tears. He experienced the sweet fruits of victory.

W: I love it! I love posting photos and getting comments.
M: Sometimes I think people use it just to get popular. I like it when my friends
post articles about important issues, not just photos of themselves. Do you have a
Twitter account?
W: Yes. I also have Instagram and Facebook accounts.
M: I only have Facebook. I usually post links to what I think is interesting, but
sometimes I post my writing.
W: I only really post photos of myself. All of my friends do, too.
M: I would have probably done that when I was 15 as well, but I didn’t have
social media back then. When you’re 30 like me, you probably won’t want to post
photos of yourself anymore.
W: Sara does it, and she’s 29.

have six people. The questions will be easy at the beginning of the quiz and then they

will be only one team left — the winners. There will be some great prizes. This week
the winners will all get a new camera. Everyone loves taking photos. Next week the
first prize is a laptop. If you would like to be on Answer That, then call 0573-5789.
Just give your name, age and school address, and maybe you will be on TV soon!89
