In Mexico, more than a third of its people are
overweight(超重的). And more than 75% are at a weight that is
not healthy. The problem among children is becoming more and
more serious(严重的). A study showed about 8% of children
under 5 were fat or overweight. It went up to almost 19% for
kids 5-11 years old.
Things became even worse in the past 3 years, because
students had to stay at home. Not surprisingly, most of them
became fatter when they went back to school.
Teachers at a school noticed the problem. They bought some special new desks for their students. Each desk

What do people often do when taking a shower? Many people may say, “Sing”. But do you think about why?
There is a scientific answer.
Let's look at why we sing in the shower first. Think about it. You don't sing when you' re sad( if you aren't
singing the sadness). For many people, shower time is the only time they are alone all day. The shower is a safe
place. You can be yourself. And tiredness(疲倦) washes off.
Next, singing makes you feel better. Why is this? Singing makes you breathe(呼吸) deeply. This helps get
more O₂ into your blood(血). It's good for your body and mind.
And what's the best about singing in the shower? The shower has great acoustics(音响效果)! Your voice
