degree /dɪˈɡriː/ n.（大学）学位；度数；程度
degree作名词，其含义有：
1.证书
He has a master’s degree in economics from Yale University(耶鲁大学)
2.度数
The temperature of the water was about 50 degrees centigrade.
3.程度I agree with you to a certain degree.
【拓展】
degree of ……的程度；……的学位
in one’s degree 按照其本身的情况(或程度)
to a degree 在某种程度上，在一定 程度上

manager /ˈmænɪdʒə(r)/ n. 经理；经营者
manager作名词，意为“经理；经营者”。
Mr. White is the manager of the company.

可以表示“信任；信赖”。如：
They need a leader they can believe in.
believe in yourself, or you’ll never succeed.
还可以表示“相信……的存在”。如：
My younger brother believes in aliens, but I don’t.

be thirsty for 渴望；渴求
be thirsty for为固定短语,其后可跟名词、代词或动词-ing形式作宾语。其中thirsty作形容
词,意为“渴望的，渴求的”。
I am thirsty for orange juice right now.
He is thirsty for making greater progress.
【拓展】thirsty作形容词，还可意为“口渴的”。

知识点⑤：It is always hard to separate from those whom you

separate 在此处作动词，意为“分开；分离”。separate from 意为“分离；隔开”，
separate A from B意为“把A和B分开”。

【用法】
congratulate作及物动词, 意为“祝贺”，常用
于以下结构:
congratulate sb.congratulate sb. on (doing) sth.
在某方面祝贺某人。如：
I want to congratulate you with all my heart.

Sandy congratulated Bob on winning the table tennis game.
【拓展】
congratulation是它的名词形式，且常用其复数形式，可以单独使用，也可以用于
congratulations to sb.结构中。如：
Congratulations! I hear you’ve passed the math exam.
Congratulations to the new parents.
【运用】单项选择。

知识点⑦：But along with difficulties, there will also be many

【用法】
along with可以表示“连同；与……一起(一道)”,
当连接两个主语时, 谓语动词的数应和along with
前面的那个主语保持一致。 如：
Mom sent me some money along with her letter.
He along with his two friends is going to Hong Kong next month.
还可以表示“除……以外(还)”。如：
Along with their parents, these children hardly see anyone.

难忘记。同时，也谈到对未来生活的展望。田于本话题涉及的时态和结构较多，如现在完
成时、现在完成进行时、一般过去时、一般现在时等，要根据叙述内容的需要，选择恰当
的时态和结构。

Ⅱ.结构框架Ⅲ 范文欣赏
Tina is one of the teachers who I'll never forget. The main reason is that without her help, I would
not grow up so much.
I used to be a shy girl who never spoke to others. What's worse, I didn't do well in study. Science
was difficult. I couldn't understand it. I was upset during those days. Luckily, Tina paid attention
to me and soon took the time to communicate with me. The first thing she told me was that
knowledge was so valuable like treasure that I need to look for them with courage. What’s more,
she advised me to put my heart into science. Finally, she successfully made me know that I should
be responsible for my future.
After that, I became brave enough to speak in front of others. As for study, I put in more effort and
never gave up. Thanks to her, I’ve been better and better.
