My First Time Cooking
Today my parents are not at home. I decide to give them a big surprise. Guess what? I
am going to cook sausages and potatoes.
I turn on the cooker. When it gets hot, I put the sausages in the pan, but I forget to put
oil. Then I start to cook the potatoes, but I put sugar in the hot water, not salt.
Then I go to the living room to watch TV. When my parents come home, the kitchen
is almost on fire. It smells so bad.
My dad turns off the cooker. The sausages look small and black. The potatoes are OK.
They taste sweet. My mum says I invent sweet potatoes!

我的第一次做饭经历
今天我的父母都不在家。我决定给他们一个大惊喜。猜一猜我要干什么？我要给
他们烹饪香肠和土豆。
我打开了炉灶。当它变热时，我把香肠放进平底锅，但是我忘记倒油了。接着我
开始烹饪土豆，但是我把糖倒进热水里了，而不是盐。
然后我就去客厅看电视。当我的父母回到家的时候，厨房差点着火。气味太难闻
了。
我的父亲关闭了电炉。香肠看起来都又小又黑。土豆倒是可以吃。它们尝起来是
甜的。我的母亲说我发明了甜土豆。
