江苏学生迎来首个秋假

Jiangsu Students Get Their First Autumn Holiday

Jiangsu is a province in east China. This November, primary and middle school students there will have their first autumn holiday.

On October 16, the province shared its holiday plan. Students in different cities will rest on different days. Some will be free from November 14 to 18. Others will rest later in the month. Every holiday joins a weekend.

The province also shared 52 study trip routes. There are five kinds: red history, science, famous schools, old crafts and culture. Students can visit factories, museums and old streets. Many places are free or half price for students, and their parents pay less too.

The train line is 142 kilometres long. It can run at 350 kilometres an hour. Before, the trip took more than three hours. Now it takes only 46 minutes.

In three years, the train carried more than 18 million people. It is the first high speed railway in Indonesia and in Southeast Asia. It was built with Chinese technology. Many people from Indonesia learned how to work on the railway, and now they drive and fix the trains themselves.
