67. 读后续写
With her heart still racing, Neha gathered the strength to face up to what she had done. She called
her parents into her room, her eyes filled with determination. As they entered, she handed them the plastic
bag filled with the unexpected treasure. “Mom, Dad, I found this, but I know it’s not mine,” she said, her
voice steady. “Let’s return it and find the rightful owners. I don’t want to keep something that doesn’t
belong to me.” Her parents exchanged a look of pride and immediately agreed. They wrapped their arms
around Neha, offering words of encouragement.
Together, the three of them went back to the store, where the shop owner offered to help. Theydiscovered that the money belonged to an elderly woman who had sold the old black table to the store but
forgot to take out the bag in the drawer. So they immediately contacted with the woman and returned the
money. Seeing the genuine happiness she had brought to the woman’s life, Neha finally let out a sigh of
relief. “This birthday,” she thought, “I’ve gained something more valuable than any gift — the restoration of
my honesty.”
听力原文:
1. M: When do you want the TV fixed?
W: The sooner the better.
2. M: Only tea? Oh, come on, have something stronger.
W: No, just tea. It’s the doctor’s orders.
3. M: Hello, Aqua Park. Can I help you?
W: Yes, please. I’d like some information. Are you open on Saturdays?
M: We’re open every day from 9 in the morning until 6, but on Saturdays we close much later, at 10.
4. W: I’m so angry with my results.
M: Why? What happened?
W: Well, I failed my Chinese oral test by three points and I worked so hard for it.
M: Oh no, poor you.
5. W: I’m free today. What would you think of doing something a little unusual?
M: Well, how about going horse riding out in the fields?
W: Good idea. I love the feeling of riding a horse. We also can feed the horses.
M: That’s right.
6. W: Could you come Wednesday and Saturday afternoons to clean my house, James?
M: Wednesday is no problem, but Saturday is a little tight. Is it possible to change to Sunday?
W: Sunday afternoons are also okay.
M: What kind of housework do I need to do?
W: Mainly clean the floor, wash clothes, clean the bathroom and etc.
7.W: Hey, could you help me get something from the top shelf please?
M: Sure. What do you need?W: I need some paper for the printer. I’m not sure why it’s all the way up there. It’s usually on the bottom
shelf.
M: No problem. Here you are.
W: Thanks. Have we met before? I’ve been here for almost three years and I don’t think I’ve seen you
around here before. I’m Betty Applegate, Mr. Wolfe’s assistant.
M: Nice to meet you Ms. Applegate. I’m Miles Chaplin. I just started in the accounting department last
week.
8.M: Tina, my shirt is too tight, isn’t it? Some of my friends were laughing at me today.
W: Yes, it is a little tight. Let’s buy you a new one. Oh, look here, dear, this shirt costs only 24 dollars on
the Internet. I’ve seen it for 40 in the shops
M: But don’t you think it looks rather unfashionable?
W: No, I think it will suit you. Well, I’m going to buy you one
M: On the Internet.
W: Yes, then we don’t have to go out. They say it can be delivered in 48 hours
M: But I don’t think it is safe to share our credit card information with a stranger.
W: That’s not a problem. They have a third-party safety control.
M: But I can’t try it on before buying.
W: Don’t worry, they have different sizes and colors. I will order your size and your favorite color brown,
right?
M: But what if I am not satisfied with the quality?
W: If we are not satisfied, we will return the T-shirt and they will return our money.
M: Okay, then, let’s try shopping on the Internet.
9. M: Hello, Betty. It’s me, Tim. Am I calling at a bad time?
W: No, not really.
M: I have invited some of my friends to dinner at my house this evening. I thought maybe you’d like to
come too.
W: Well, that sounds good, but I’m afraid I’ve got to do some reading for my English course at home.
M: Today is Friday. You’ve got to relax and enjoy yourself on the weekend.
W: I know, but there is a lot of reading to do. Besides, I really ought to do my washing this evening.M: Then would you like to come just for a drink later on instead?
W: Actually, I’d like to go to bed early tonight. I’m a bit tired.
M: Okay, have a good rest. I’ll call you again tomorrow.
W: Don’t call me early. I usually sleep until nine on Saturdays.
M: What? That’ll be too late for our Saturday country drive.
W: Did I say I’d go with you for a drive to the country?
M: No, but I have already planned everything.
W: Listen, Tim, I like to plan my own days myself.
10. Boys and girls are schools and international language college. As you see there are a lot of buildings on
campus. The college used to have four departments, English, French, German and Russian, but there is now
also a Chinese department. At the moment we're outside your department, the English department, which is
the largest department in the college. There are over 750 students in each grade and we have 350 teachers
including 150 professors. These teachers are from different countries, mainly from the USA and Canada
with a few from England and Australia. You will have all your classes here in this building and all the
professors from Canada are working here so you can talk with them in your spare time. Now let’s walk over
to the main library, which is the largest building in the college, just next to the English department building.
Ah, this is the main library. OK, let's come to the next building, the dining hall, where you will have your
meals every day.
