My Favourite School Day
My favorite school day is Thursday. Here are the reasons:
Firstly, we have clubs on Thursday afternoon. There are 40 clubs for us to
choose. I chose the “Yanzhi” club. I was attracted by the name of the club at first. In
the club, the teacher taught us to make many beautiful pictures with colourful rolled
paper. I was eager to succeed at first but gradually I became patient and careful. And
it brings me a lot of fun.
Secondly, I am very interested in history. Our history teacher is humorous. She
often teaches us the knowledge in a fun way, which makes us laugh through her class.
Many students in my class like her very much.
All in all, I have a great time at school.

Today we learned something about two different schools. Now I am going to introduce
them to you. The first one is the Woodland School. It is a mixed school near London. Boys
and girls have lessons together. At Woodland School, students can do many different kinds
of sports in different seasons. For example, girls can play softball in autumn and boys play
basketball in December and November. The School has a Reading Week every year.
During the week, students can borrow more books from the school library. They can also
bring in books and magazines from home. Near the end of the week, students discuss
books with their classes in class.
Rocky Mountain High School is an American school near Denver. They have a buddy
club. In the club, older students help new students learn more about the school. Students
can do different sports after school. Many boys like playing baseball. And they also have
matches sometimes.
My school is a mixed school. It is a very large school, with about 8,000 students and
800 teachers. The school has many activities. The spring trip and autumn trip are the ones
that the students like most. This summer, the school basketball team won three matches in
Jiangsu province, making the whole school proud and excited. I hope all of you will come
and visit my school someday.

years ago, Boulton built a forest school in Canada.
C ompared with classroom lear ning, forest schools have a few advantages. Students can
be stronger. The more time they spend on outdoor exercise, the healthier they will become.
Also, students can get more interested in learning. In forest schools, students do not sit
in the classroom and listen to what the teachers say. Instead, they join in all kinds of
outdoor activities to learn about the world. They become more willing to ask questions and
find answers by themselves, so they can feel the joy of learning more easily.
What’s more, students are happier in forest schools. They see real horses, cows and
sheep. They go camping by the river in summer and play on the ice in winter. Cindy, an 8-
year-old girl, took lessons in a forest school last year. When birds flew to sit on her
shoulders and hands, how happy she was!
Forest schools can help students become better through outdoor activities. And more
parents are thinking about taking their children there.
