【What】
本单元主题语境属于人与自然，主题为自然灾害。单元围绕灾难发生、灾情破坏、灾后救援与反思展开，引导学生认识自然灾害，感受灾难面前人性的光辉，树立防灾自救意识，学会理性看待灾害，敬畏自然、守望相助。
本单元围绕灾害现象、灾害破坏、应急救援、生命守护四大内容展开，涵盖纪实阅读、新闻文本、信息播报与主题写作等多类语篇，真实呈现灾难发生与灾后重建全过程。本单元语言素材集中聚焦灾害、损毁、救援、自救类高频词汇与句式，是高考灾难类阅读、完形、读后续写的核心话题素材。本节课立足单元核心内容，筛选高频重点词块，依托简化语篇与主题写作，聚焦基础语言知识的巩固与运用。
【Why】
从育人角度，本单元旨在引导学生敬畏自然、珍爱生命、懂得危难互助，提升防灾自救意识，落实英语学科核心素养。从备考角度，灾害主题是高考高频话题，词汇和句型具有极强应试迁移价值。本班学生英语基础薄弱，词汇匮乏、语境运用能力弱、惧怕语篇与写作。因此一轮复习必须弱化难点，实现低起点、稳提升的复习效果。
【How】
本课时遵循“词—句—篇—用”的整体复习路径，以说唱歌谣激趣、以课堂游戏巩固词汇、以精简改编语篇内化语境、以进阶支架写作落实输出，最后通过思维导图结构化复盘单元知识。整体由浅入深、层层递进，实现单元词汇、语篇、句型、写作的一体化整合复习，达成语言能力与应试能力同步提升。
本班学生高三一轮，基础薄弱，词汇储备少，长难句阅读困难，写作几乎无法写出完整句子。学生对枯燥单词背诵抵触，适合低门槛、多互动、可视化、支架式课堂。本节课选用本单元自然灾害主题核心词汇，搭配简化改编短文、游戏活动、歌谣跟唱，降低输入难度；写作设置句型支架，让学生可以上手输出。
At the end of this lesson, students will be able to
(1) Learn and accumulate the key words and expressions related to Natural Disaster;
(2) Apply the related words and expressions in contexts;
(3) Learn about disaster prevention and appreciate the spirit of mutual assistance in disasters.

Activity 1 Lead in
活动形式及步骤：Play the prepared rhythmic chant. Display the lyrics on the PPT and play the song for students. Meanwhile, ask students to circle the words related to disasters.

活动意图：It reduces the dullness of vocabulary memorization through the song, activates the class quickly, arouses students’ interest, and naturally introduces the topic of this lesson — Natural Disasters.

Activity 2 Vocabulary Review
活动形式及步骤：Teacher shows three groups of core words on the screen, divided into disaster, damage and rescue. Teacher reads each word slowly, corrects students’ pronunciation and emphasizes key meanings. Students follow and read aloud.
活动意图：Teacher guides students to conclude the word system and prepares for the later reading and writing tasks

Activity 3 Interesting games
活动形式及步骤：
Game 1: Teacher shows word cards one by one quickly. Students stand up and answer the Chinese meaning immediately ;
Game 2: All words are mixed on the screen. Students are invited to classify them into three categories: disaster, damage, rescue.
活动意图：Through two vocabulary games, consolidate students’ mastery of core words and phrases related to natural disasters, arouse students’ interest in vocabulary review, help students distinguish confusing words, lay a solid lexical foundation for subsequent reading and writing tasks.

活动形式及步骤：Students read the given text and complete the exercises on their own. The teacher reviews answers together with the class and asks students to mark high‑frequency phrases.
