My Views on Stray Cats at School
Recently, there have been several stray cats on our campus, and many students feed them
during breaks. While it shows students’ kindness, it also brings some problems. Feeding stray cats
may attract more of them, and they could carry diseases that pose a threat to students’ health.
To solve this, I suggest setting up a feeding area outside the school. We can also organize
volunteers to take the cats to the vet for regular checks. This way, we can show our love for
animals while keeping the campus clean and safe.
While→ Though
造成:pose → cause
解决:solve→ deal with

pose a threat to students’ health.(运用了that引导的定语从句)
67.Paragraph 1
I was shocked myself and my eyes fell on the keychain, my mind racing. The faded
sunflower, once golden and bright, now mirrored Dad’s silent sacrifices. Memories flooded in:
him skipping meals to pay for my textbooks, his cracked hands gripping the steering wheel, and
the way he proudly called his patches “medals.” My outburst replayed in my head, sharp and
ugly. Guilt gnawed at me as I realized his questions weren’t prying—they were his lifeline to my
world. The quiet click of the door echoed louder than any argument.
Paragraph 2
I knocked at the door and it opened. Dad sat on the edge of his bed, the sunflower
keychain trembling in his hands. “I… I’m sorry,” I choked out. He looked up, eyes weary but soft. “I
just wanted to know you’re okay,” he murmured. Tears blurred my vision as I hugged him, his
patched uniform rough against my cheek. “Your medals are real,” I whispered. He laughed, a
warm sound that melted the tension. From then on, his “How’s school?” became a bridge, not a
burden.

W: Next week is the start of the summer holiday, and some of you may be going away
tomorrow. Those who are still here are able to use the school library over the next two months.
At the moment, the library is open during school hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., but the hours
will be reduced during the summer holiday. It will only be open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m..
However, there will be a drop box, so you can return books at any time — day or night. Just be
careful when you are putting the books back as some of them are easily broken. The drop box is
very big, so you don’t have to worry about it being filled.
The library will also be hosting a series of activities over the summer holiday, including a
day of artworks exhibition. The reading club will still be held on Wednesdays, but it will start at
10:00 a.m. instead of 2:00 p.m. as normal. We will also have a special guest visiting the library, a
former student who is now a published author.
