（五）早中晚场景举例
读后续写的情节构思是续写成功与否的关键点之一。而在续写中，侧面描写的作用不
容忽视。运用侧面描写，可以对人物进行多角度映照和多层次烘托，人物的描写就会达到
“横看成岭侧成峰”的丰富境界。 侧面描写有“以旁面写正面”、“以对面写正面”、
“以反面写正面”三种方法。如果从一个侧面去描写，人物形象往往单薄。如果从多个侧
面去描写，人物形象就容易丰满。在写作中，我们可以尝试以下几种侧面烘托法：景物烘
托法——通过对自然景物的描绘，来烘托人物心情；他人反映法——听听他人的反映，去
了解主人公的个性特征；借人写人法——通过对受影响者的刻画，间接地表现主人公的思
想品质。

7. 阅读下面短文，根据所给情节进行续写，使之构成一个完整的故事。
Harry was afraid of the wind, I blew of his hat. I whistled under his door. It made the iron
fence murmur scary music.
“How can anyone be afraid of the wind?” asked Harry's friend Antony many times. Harry
shrugged. Antony always comforted him and encouraged him. Sometimes that made Harry feel
better. But not for long.
On windy days Harry sod at his window and watched Antony riding his bike, whose hair flew
in the wind. He watched his friend playing cheerfully in the wind, wishing he weren't afraid.
One day Antony came to Harry's house to play. “Look at my glider(滑翔机),” said Antony.
“It does tricks and loop-de-loops when I fly it outside in the wind.” “Nice,” said Harry.
When clouds rolled in, the tree in front of Harry's house swung. A garbage can top
clattered(发出撞击声) down the street. Antony couldn't wait to fly the glider outside and invited
Harry to play together, but he refused.
Harry staved inside and played with his construction set. He pictured launching the glider
with Antony. But when he imagined the wind blowing against his face and blowing off his hat, he
shivered.

laughter and shouts of more children outside, he felt sad to be in his room while everyone else was
there.
Harry began to make a kite. He took two sticks from his craft bin and crossed them. He tied
them together and made a diamond shape with four more sticks. He glued the colored paper onto
the sticks and attached a ball of string to make a rudder(方向舵). He held the kite up high, his
twinkling eyes staring at it.

One fall，my wife Elli and I had a single goal:to photograph polar bears. We were staying
at a research camp outside “the polar bear capital of the world”-the town of Churchill in
Manitoba，Canada.
Taking pictures of polar bears is amazing but also dangerous. Polar bears-like all wild
animals-should be photographed from a safe distance. When I'm face to face with a polar
bear，I like it to be through a camera with a telephoto lens. But sometimes，that is easier said
than done. This was one of those times.
As Elli and I cooked dinner，a young male polar bear who was playing in a nearby lake
sniffed，and smelled our garlic bread.
The hungry bear followed his nose to our camp，which was surrounded by a high wire
fence. He pulled and bit the wire. He stood on his back legs and pushed at the wooden fence
posts.
Terrified，Elli and I tried all the bear defense actions we knew. We yelled at the bear，hit
pots hard，and fired blank shotgun shells into the air. Sometimes loud noises like these will
scare bears off. Not this polar bear though-he just kept trying to tear down the fence with his
massive paws(爪子).
I radioed the camp manager for help. He told me a helicopter was on its way，but it would
be 30 minutes before it arrived. Making the best of this close encounter(相遇)，I took some
pictures of the bear.
Elli and I feared the fence wouldn't last through 30 more minutes of the bear's punishment.
The camp manager suggested I use pepper spray. The spray burns the bears' eyes，but doesn't
hurt them. So I approached our uninvited guest slowly and，through the fence，sprayed him in
the face. With an angry roar(吼叫)，the bear ran to the lake to wash his eyes.

precious doll to Shirley. Holding tightly the doll, the sister was very very happy.
The shopkeeper was watching everything and getting amused to see the matured（成熟
的）behaviour of the boy. Now the boy came to the counter and asked the shopkeeper, "How
much does this doll cost, Sir?”
The shopkeeper was a cool man, who had suffered from something in his life. So he asked
the boy with love and affection, "Well, what can you pay?" Peter reached into his clothes for
money that was intended for these two little guys' breakfast. Having counted the money, Peter
put it carefully on the counter, asking again, 6'Sir, is it enough for my little sister's doll?"
The amusing scene just in front of the shopkeeper eventually brought a smile on his face.

found myself riding to the stone bench where Eric had just sat, and I noticed the book again. It

captivated (着迷)?” I stopped and bent down to pick up the book. Wow! A Little Story, a Big
Lesson. This was the book of my dreams! Suddenly, an idea came to my mind: Take the book

help him to earn money,” said Clara. “His family is suffering so much.”
“So do I,” said Harry. “We really should do something to assist them.”
For some moments, John said nothing, but, suddenly, he sprang to his feet and cried, “I have
a great idea! I have a solution that we can all help accomplish(完成).”
The other children also jumped up all attention. When John had an idea, it was sure to be a
good one. “I tell you what we can do,” said John. “You know that big box of corn Uncle John sent
us? Well, we can make popcorn(爆米花), and put it into paper bags, and Bernard can take it
around to the houses and sell it.”
