考向分析
故事中的高潮(climax)也通常是故事的转折点(turning point)，是指故事达到最紧张或扣人心
弦的那一部分。高潮有时候是剧情中的“危机”点。有时它只是达到关键时刻或者转折点
时，发生了一些事情，或者人物必须做出决定，从而导致一个结果或其他。营造故事发展
的高潮可以通过营造冲突实现。冲突带来紧迫感，因此营造冲突是一种有效地将故事推向
情节发展的高潮的方式。

潮的作用，具体方法可以看上期读后续写微技能。当故事角色在碰到困难时候，我们往往
要加大笔墨来描写故事环境的黑暗，恐怖和不祥。强化环境描写增强了高潮元素。我们感
受到了紧张的倍增。

A Vacation with My Mother
I had an interesting childhood. It was filled with surprises and amusements, all because of my

spend a few weeks driving to those states and seeing all the sights along the way. As the first day

our friends. Who knew if we’d ever see them again? Finally, the moment of our departure arrived,
and we loaded suitcases, books, games, camping equipment, and a tent into the car and bravely

and traveler’s checks Mom had forgotten.
David and I were always a little nervous when using gas station bathrooms if Mom was
driving while Dad slept: “You stand outside the door and play lookout(放哨) while I go, and I’ll
stand outside the door and play lookout while you go.” I had terrible pictures in my mind: “Honey,
where are the kids?” “What?! Oh, Gosh…I thought they were being awfully quiet.” We were
never actually left behind in a strange city, but we weren’t about to take any chances.

It was Dale's third Sunday volunteering at the retirement home. He had thought it would be
a good way to give back. But today he just felt tired. While on a short break, Dale took a walk
through the garden. There were people sitting on benches, chatting together. A woman sat
knitting, looking very pleased with herself. The strands of brightly-colored yarn disappeared
quickly through her hands.
Across the courtyard, there was a man sitting alone at a table with a chessboard in front of
him. Dale watched with curiosity as the man would stare at the pieces, then move them, and then
would do the same from the other side of the board. On his way home after the day had ended,
Dale found himself thinking about the man. How he was hunched over in deep thought, playing a
game against himself. How odd, he thought.
Each Sunday, Dale would see the man doing the same thing. While everyone else talked
with one another or happily carried on, the man would sit, slightly bent over and scratching his
chin. His eyes rarely came off of the chessboard. One Sunday, Dale went to the garden on his
break expecting to see the man at his normal spot. But he wasn't there. It was Father's Day and
there were many visitors at the home. Dale shrugged and thought the man must be busy with his
family.
That afternoon, Dale was mopping the hallways when he happened to pass by the man's
room. The door was slightly open and he could see the man sitting in a chair next to the window,
peering out at the courtyard. Dale knocked lightly and asked to come in.
The man nodded. Dale saw a collection of framed photographs on the bedside table. “Are
those your children?” he asked.
“Yes, they’re all grown and live far away. They have their own kids now,” he replied. Dale,
not wanting the man to be alone on Father's Day, had an idea.

who inspired them to bring the Olympic flame to Salt Lake City as torch bearers（火炬手）or

event. On September 26th, while on her daily run through her neighborhood, an express package

working two jobs. That particular day had been unkind to her. Her car broke down, forcing her to
walk to work in the rain and wind. She was concerned about how being without a vehicle would
affect her ability to care for her daughter and go to college. Her frustration was obvious, and the
day's events had certainly left her in a certain amount of despair. Yet, her comments centered on
ideas for solving her problems rather than complaining about them. Her attitude aroused my
parents' interest.
When Mama and Daddy finished with lunch, they said goodbye to their waitress and wished
her well. Her plight (困境) and attempt at a positive attitude touched them, and they wondered
what they might do to help

But one of the balloons did make it to Alvin Bamburg, who was deer hunting in Grand Cane,

needed to get the trash out of the woods. However, when he got it, he noticed a folded yellow
piece of paper sealed with a red star and it was a Christmas list from a girl named Luna. She had
asked Santa to bring her candy, a Spider Man ball, a Frozen doll and a dachshund (腊肠狗) puppy,
which was her most desired present.
The holidays kept Alvin Bamburg and his wife busy. They had family reunions and organized
several charity parties to help whoever needed help but they didn’t forget about the list. In early
January, Bamburg shared his discovery with family and friends on Facebook. “I would love to
know when it was launched. It looks like it travelled 600 miles,” he wrote.

Bales followed the tracks, rounded a slight comer and saw a man sitting motionless. He wore
tennis sneakers, shorts, a light jacket and fingerless gloves. His skin was pale and he had a glazed
