Unit 1 The secrets of happiness 重点语法--一般过去时
一、概念：
表示在_____某个时间里所发生的动作或存在的状态。
二、谓语构成：
一般过去时的谓语不管主语的人称和单复数都用动词的过去式表示，动词的过去式有规则与不规则两种。
规则动词的过去式在动词原形后加-ed, 不规则动词的过去式要逐个记忆。
三、一般过去时的结构：
含有be 动词 含有实义动词 例句
She was born on a cold morning.
肯定句 主语＋__________+其他. 主语＋动词过去式. They had fun yesterday.
He worked in that bank four years
ago.
I was not born in 2005.
否定句 主语＋was/were+ not+其他. 主语＋____+V原＋其他. We didn't go to the zoo yesterday.

一般疑问句 Was/Were+主语＋其他? Did+主语＋V原＋其他? Did you go to the zoo yesterday?

四、规则动词的过去式变化方式如下：
情 况 变 化 规 则 例 词
一般情况 在动词原形后加_____ consider→considered ；pass→passed
以不发音的e 结尾的词 在动词后加-d achieve→achieved ；increase→increased
以辅音字母+y结尾的词 变y为 i，再加-ed cry →cried carry →_____
以辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节词 双写该辅音字母，再加-ed plan→planned stop →stopped
五、不规则动词的过去式 （举例）：
feed → fed go → _____ see → saw do → _____
get → _____ fall →fell leave →left am →was
are → were give → gave have → _____ think → thought

1）表示在确定的过去某个时间里所发生的动作或存在的状态。
常用的时间状语有： yesterday, ;last year(week, month...), three hours ago, the other day (几天前) ，
just now （刚才）, in 1998等。例如：
* I _____ e-mail to my best friend yesterday. 我昨天给我最好的朋友发邮件。
* They didn’t have a meeting last Tuesday. 他们上个星期二没有开会。
* She _____ shopping this morning. 她今天上午没有支购物。
* Where did you go just now? 你刚才去哪儿了？
注意：描写已故的人的动作或状态需用动词一般过去时。
2）表示在过去一段时间内，经常性或习惯性的动作。例如：

Dear Looking,
It began one morning. I wore my brother, Tex’s hat and walked to school. That day, I didn’t miss the bus,
because the bus was even later than me---that never happens! The luck went on. In the English class, I did well in

A lonely elephant made her way into a forest. It was a new place for her. She hoped to make some friends. She
walked up to a monkey and said, “Hello, monkey! Will you be my friend?” The monkey said, “You are too big to
