One afternoon, a sudden snowstorm hit our town. My family and I were at home—my mom was cooking,
my dad was working on his computer, and I was doing homework.
When the snow grew heavier, we realized we needed to prepare. Mom gathered candles and blankets in
case the power went out. Dad checked the windows and doors to keep the cold out. I helped bring in firewood for
the fireplace. Soon, the electricity did go out, but we stayed warm by the fire, telling stories and playing board
games.
Though the snowstorm was fierce, we felt safe and happy together. It became a special memory of family
warmth.
