(一)描述情绪及原因
Sb. feels + 情绪(e.g., upset /angry/lonely)because + 原因. / Sb. is + 情绪 + about + 事
物.
例:Peter felt upset because Harry made a mark on his guitar.
Judy is stressed about her grades because her parents have high standards.
变式:Sb.’s + 情绪 + comes from + 原因.
例:Matt’s sadness comes from letting his team down.
(二)使用连词 although/until/so that 引导从句
Although + 让步从句(与主句相反的情况), 主句(结果).
例:Although Peter and Harry argued, they are still close friends.
Although the team lost, Tom was proud of their performance.

Sb. won’t + 动作 + until + 时间 / 条件从句(动作发生).
例:You won’t know how Harry feels until you talk to him.
Matt didn’t feel better until he talked to Tom.
Sb. does sth. so that + 目的从句(想要达成的结果).
例:You can write to your parents so that they’ll know how you feel.
Tom talked to Matt so that Matt would feel better.
(三)提供情绪调节建议
If you feel + 负面情绪,you should + 积极做法. / You could + 替代做法.
例:If you feel angry, you should take a deep breath first.
If you feel lonely, you could join a club to make friends.
变式:When you feel + 负面情绪,try + 做法(e.g., talking to a friend /looking on
thebright side).
例:When you feel sad, try looking on the bright side of things.
(四)表达道歉与原谅
Sb. apologizes to sb. for + 过错. / Sb. says sorry to sb. because + 原因.
例:Harry apologized to Peter for making a mark on the guitar.
Peter said sorry to Harry because he said hurtful things.
Sb. forgives sb. for + 过错. / Sb. says “I forgive you” to show + 态度.
例:Peter forgave Harry for being careless with the guitar.
