Nowadays people use the phone to talk with others almost anywhere in the world. But when you
use the phone, you cannot see the person you are talking with. This may change in the near future.
Today some people are using a kind of telephone called the picture phone or videophone (可视电
话). With it, two people who are talking can see each other.
Picture phones are useful if you want to show something to the person you’re calling. They may
have other uses in the future. One day you may be able to ring up a library and ask to read a book.

information in English to read. Besides, listening to English tapes is a good way to learn English
well. Finally, learning English grammar well is also a great help.
