Some students couldn’t get along well with each other so their teacher Ms. White played a game with students

Eating together at home is more important than ever because there are more things taking up our attention than
ever before. During the day, we are busy working and studying. Even when everyone is home, we often do things
alone. The only time we may have to talk with each other is at dinner time.
When I grew up in California, my sisters and I all helped get dinner ready and then the whole family enjoyed
it together, talking about how our day was going and making future family plans.
Today Americans are so busy that they usually eat alone or eat out together. However, that’s not a sound idea.

notes on my computer because of my good computer skills and bad handwriting. But these days, I decide to use pen
and paper to take notes. Along the way, I find many benefits (优点) in taking notes by hand.
No Distraction (分心)
Our digital devices, like computers, mobile phones and iPads, are full of distractions: emails, short messages,
news and those cute pictures. Writing with pens is distraction-free (免受干扰). That’s because we won’t have to
meet the need of quickly checking the information that just popped up (突然出现). When we are taking notes by
hand, others think we are listening carefully and paying full attention to what they say.
Better For Memory
Taking notes by hand can help you have a better memory. A study from the University of California shows
students can remember more when they take notes with pen and paper.
Higher Quality Notes
Taking notes with computers is faster than taking notes by writing so people finally finish their notes word by
word on the computers without thinking carefully. They may not understand what they note down at that moment.
However with pen and paper people can take shorter and straight-to-the-point notes. Paper also helps people to
take notes easily such as drawing lines or marking key points in different colors. When people come back to their
notes, they will also review faster.
Enjoy Handwriting
Writing by hand is a skill and I need time to practise it. It can bring me a relaxing feeling and every time I look
at my beautiful handwriting I really feel proud of myself.
