The CPC Founding Day falls on July 1 every year, a solemn national day to honor the birth of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Unlike traditional lunar festivals, it adopts a fixed Gregorian calendar date and is the most important red cultural festival in China.

建党节为每年7月1日，是纪念中国共产党诞生的庄重国家级纪念日。它区别于农历传统节日，采用固定公历日期，是我国最重要的红色文化节日。

The CPC was founded in 1921 at the First National Congress on the Red Boat in Jiaxing Nanhu Lake. In 1941, July 1 was officially set as the CPC Founding Day. For over a century, this day has served to review revolutionary history and carry forward red spirits.

1921年，中共一大在嘉兴南湖红船召开，标志中国共产党成立。1941年，中央正式将7月1日定为建党纪念日。百余年来，人们在这天回顾革命历史、传承红色精神。

A variety of solemn ceremonies are held nationwide, such as flag-raising and new Party member oath-taking rituals. People pay tribute to revolutionary martyrs who sacrificed for national independence and people’s happiness.

全国各地会举办各类庄重活动，包括升旗仪式、新党员入党宣誓仪式，人们向为民族独立、人民幸福牺牲的革命先烈致敬。

Schools organize red song competitions, speech contests and visits to revolutionary memorial halls. Red films and documentaries are shown to help students learn about the tough journey of the Party.

学校会举办红歌比赛、主题演讲，组织参观革命纪念馆；红色影片与纪录片同步展播，让学生了解党艰苦的奋斗历程。

The CPC Founding Day is more than a memorial occasion; it is a spiritual symbol of the whole nation. It shows how the CPC has led Chinese people to achieve the great leap from standing up, growing prosperous to becoming strong.

建党节不只是纪念日，更是全民的精神象征。它见证党带领人民实现中华民族从站起来、富起来到强起来的伟大飞跃。

It carries precious spiritual wealth like the Red Boat Spirit and the great founding spirit of the Party, inspiring young people to study hard and strive for national rejuvenation.

节日承载红船精神、伟大建党精神等宝贵精神财富，激励青年刻苦学习，为民族复兴不懈奋斗。

Every year, outstanding Party members are commended on this day. The celebrations strengthen national unity and guide people to stick to the Party’s leadership.
