Working as a engineer, he often deals with complex problems, which requires great patience and a sharp mind. What I truly admire is his optimism and resilience. I will never forget how he comforted our family when his project failed last year, saying that difficulties would be overcome as long as I was determined. His positive attitude, which always lights up our home, teaches me the real meaning of strength. Inspired by him, I have learned to face my own challenges at school with a more positive mindset. He is my lifelong role model. (A Great Scientist) The Person I Look Up To The person I look up to is Yuan Longping, revered as the "Father of Hybrid Rice." His lifelong mission, which was to rid the world of hunger, has saved millions of lives. What makes me admire him most is not just his brilliant achievement, but his great determination and dedication. Despite being a world-famous scientist, he spent most of his time working in the rice fields, which showed his deep connection to the land and the people. His story inspires me to study harder and contribute to society. Although he passed away, his spirit encourages young people like me to pursue our dreams with perseverance. He is a true hero. My Role Model: Yuan Longping My Role Model , Yuan Longping, who is known as the "father of hybrid rice", is universally considered one of the greatest agricultural scientists. What impressed people most about him was his ongoing ability to fulfil his dreams . He dedicated his life to scientific research, and his achievements prove that it is indeed an honor for China’s agricultural research to benefit the entire world. His story has a profound impact on me. Even though the research work was intensely demanding, telling whether he was in the lab or in the fields was sometimes impossible . Yet, his perseverance taught me to always look on the positive side and accept challenges rather than resist them. And if I am feeling down, there is nothing better than remembering his smiling face , which symbolizes hope and dedication. He is my true role model. 该段明确写道:“Unlike most glaciers melting away due to climate change, this 30-km-long ice river still advances daily...”. 根据题干中的“Torres de Paine National Park”,定位至 文章小标题“A Hiker’s Paradox”。该段直接指出:“...but its fame brings challenges. Park rangers enforce strict ‘leave no trace’ rules to protect fragile ecosystems from over 250,000 annual visitors.” 最后一段提到: “While 30% of Patagonia is now protected, debates continue... The answers may determine whether Patagonia’s beauty remains completely wild.” 根据第一段关键信息 “turn over half of their land to wildflowers”和 “fill 81 acres of their farm land with wildflowers”可知,这81英亩 是他们总土地面积的一半。 根据第二段马克的陈述 “...East England is one of the worst places where bees are seriously suffering from lack of foraging (觅食) diversity”可 知,威胁主要来自缺乏多样化的食物(野花)来源。 结合保罗接下来的话 “Between us we have six children and we owe it to them to farm sustainability and set an example for the generations to come”可知,他强调的是一种对土地可持续发展的责任感和对后代的责任,而不 仅仅是作为农民的一份工作(选项 D)或单纯的遗产继承(选项 C)。 根据文章最后一句,吉尔·珀金斯称兄弟俩的行动是 “a beacon of hope demonstrating what's possible, which is of great significance for humans now and future”这表明她认为这是一个具有示范效应和全球性意义的重 大贡献,而不仅仅是局部性的(选项 D),更不是影响甚微(选项A)或应受 批评的(选项C)。 根据第二段最后一句 “...this new database aims to capture a wide range of emotional bodily expressions across various situations, with a focus on Japanese people...”(…… 根据第三段第一句 “...six professional performers were asked to think back to situations that made them...and act them out using full-body movement.”(…… 选项A(将录像转为动画)是研究人员后续的处理工作;选项B(按指令 精确移动身体)和选项C(尽可能清晰地表达情绪)均未准确描述“回忆特定 情境并表演”这一核心任务。 30. 该词出现在 “Study members watched these animations and discerned the expressed emotions.” 其后的结果指出 “they could recognize the emotions only from body movements”(他们可以仅从身体动作中识 别出情绪),这表明“discerned”的含义与“识别(recognize)”紧密相关。 以及“expected to benefit researchers and industries...”。所 有这些都指向了新数据库的重要意义(significance of the new database)。 第二段以时间为序,清晰地介绍了无线通信技术从1G(模 拟语音)、2G(数字语音)、3G(移动互联网)到4G(高速数据)的演变过程。关键词如“entered the scene in the 1980s”、“in the 1990s”、“the early 2000s”、“Later”以及各代技术的标志性功能,共同勾勒出其历史发展 (historical development) 脉络。 33.A. 根据第五段第二句 “Wearable health devices could provide continuous health monitoring, telling medical professionals about any signs in real- time.” 选项分析: A. complaint 抱怨;B. hesitation 犹豫;C. interaction 互动;D. doubt 怀疑。 选项分析:A. settled down 定居;B. broke down 崩溃;C. broke up 分手;D. moved away 搬走。 选项分析:A. ruin 破坏;B. brighten 点亮;C. interrupt 打断;D. waste 浪费。 选项分析:A. forbade 禁止;B. challenged 挑战;C. inspired 激励;D. employed 雇佣。 选项分析:A. anger 愤怒;B. amusement 娱乐;C. surprise 惊讶;D. anxiety 焦虑。 选项分析:A. joy 快乐;B. disappointment 失望;C. shock 震 惊;D. sadness 悲伤。 选 项分析:A. ignored 忽略;B. criticized 批评;C. overcame 克服;D. launched 发起。 选 项分析:A. developed 发展;B. integrated 整合;C. disappeared 消失; D. returned 返回。
