In choosing a friend, one should be very careful. A good friend can help you study. You can have fun together
and make each other happy. Sometimes you will meet fair weather friends. They will be with you as long as you
have money or luck, but when you are down, they will run away. How do I know when I have found a good friend?
I look for certain qualities (品质) of character, especially understanding, honesty (诚实) and reliability (可靠).
Above all else, I look for understanding in a friend. A good friend tries to understand how another person is
feeling. He is not quick to judge. Instead, he tries to learn from others. He puts himself in the other person’s place,
and he tries to think of ways to be helpful. He is also a good listener.
At the same time, however, a good friend is honest. He does not look for faults in others. He notices their good
points. In short, a friend will try to understand me and accept me.
Another quality of a friend is reliability. I can always depend on a good friend. If he tells me he will meet me
somewhere at a certain time, I can be sure that he will be there. If I need a favor, he will do his best to help me. If I
am in trouble, he will not run away from me.
There is a fourth quality that makes a friend special. _________. We should enjoy our lives, and we would
enjoy our friendship. That is why I especially like friends who are fun to be with. A good friend likes the same things I
like. We share experience and learn from each other. A good friend has a good sense of humor, too. He likes to laugh
with me. That is how we share in the joy of being friends. And I know that he is looking for the same quality in me.

The Yangtze River is the longest river in China. It is the home to over 400 species (物种) like the Chinese
sturgeon (中华鲟). The Chinese sturgeon is one of the largest fish in the world and it’s long. A Chinese sturgeon can
grow up to about 5m long, over 500kg and live to be 40 years old. They’ve lived on the earth for about 140,000,000
years, so people call them a “living fossil (化石)”.
The Chinese sturgeon was common in the river before. However, it’s in danger now. Fishing too much in the
1970s made the species fewer and fewer. And in 1981, the building of the Gezhouba Dam put the sturgeon into two
groups. The two groups could not get together. As a result, the species became even fewer. So the help for the Chinese
sturgeon is very necessary.
Luckily, China already took action. On May 14th. Shanghai passed a new rule to help the Chinese sturgeon.
This was the first rule in the country to help one fish in danger. From January 2020, the country also started to stop
people from fishing in the Yangtze River. It will last (持续) for ten years. We believe the Chinese sturgeon will
become more and more. We should also play a part in saving the species in danger.
32.From Paragraph (段落) 1, we can know about the common ________ of the Chinese sturgeon.
A.food B.age C.habit D.color
33.What does “took action” mean in Chinese?
A.实现梦想 B.拒绝改变 C.放弃希望 D.采取行动
34.Which of the following is TRUE according to the passage?
A.The Chinese sturgeon is common now.
B.People call the Chinese sturgeon a living fossil.
C.There are less than 400 species in the Yangtze River.
D.Beijing passed a new rule to help the Chinese sturgeon.
35.In the last paragraph, the writer wants us to ________.
A.start to go fishing B.make a new rule
C.save the Chinese sturgeon D.clean the Yangtze River
第二节 任务型阅读(共5小题,每小题2分,满分10分)阅读下面材料,从方框中所给的A~F五个选项中选出正确选项(其中一项是多余选项),将其序号填入第1

If you do like art and history and feel like a real culture tourist, then let me give you some tips (小贴士) on
how to visit the museum and get the most out of your visit.
36
Let’s start with your shoes first. When in the museum you won’t walk that much, but you’ll stand in the same
place a lot. And that could be tiring. Wearing comfortable shoes is really important. Many exhibits (展品) are easily
broken or damaged (被损坏的) and to prevent the damage, museums have a special cooling system. 37
Don’t spend over two hours at a museum.
From my experience, after two hours at the museum, you’ll be too tired to continue exploring it. 38
Just walking around without a clear purpose or plan won’t be the best experience. To really enjoy the artworks, learn
the stories behind them and have a great museum experience. Pick only one collection and explore it deeply.
Ask questions.
If you visit the museum with a guide, feel free to ask your guide all the questions you have. 39 .You
just ask about everything that interests you. If you’re going to visit on your own, you can always ask the museum
guards to advise you on which part of the museum to explore next.
Avoid taking pictures.
Museums are places to enjoy slowly. That way, they lead you to a different world. And although some exhibits
could be so beautiful and interesting to you, don’t take photos of them. 40 They are often hundreds of
years old. Another thing is that you are ruining (毁掉) the experience of other visitors and yourself.
A.Dress properly.
B.Remember to take a camera with you.
C.Use the advantage of having an expert with you.
D.My advice is to bring a sweater to put on when inside.
E.First, if using the flash, you’re damaging the paintings.
F.That’s why the step of researching the collection is important.
