A group of swans flew down to a beach. There was a crow (乌鸦) jumping around. The crow watched them and
looked down on them.
“You have no flying skills at all!” he said to the swans. “All you can do is to move your wings. Can you turnover in the air? No, that’s not for you. Let’s have a flying competition. I’ll show you what real flying is!”
One of the swans took up the challenge. The crow flew up and began to show his skills. He flew in circles, did
other flying tricks, and then came down and looked at the swan proudly.

DMorgiana, remembering Ali Baba’s orders, got his bathing linen (亚麻布澡巾) ready, and ordered Abdalla to set
on the pot for the meat soup; but while she was preparing it the lamp went out, and there was no more oil in the house,
nor any candles. What to do she did not know, for the meat soup must be made. Abdalla, seeing her very uneasy, said,

Morgiana thanked Abdalla for his advice, took the oil-pot, and went into the yard; when she came near the first
of all the thirty-eight jars, the robber within (里面的强盗) said softly, “Is it time?”
Though much surprised at finding a man in the jar instead of the oil she wanted, she immediately (立即) felt the
importance of keeping silence, feeling sure that Ali Baba, his family, and herself were in great danger. Collecting
herself, without showing the least emotion (情感), she answered in a very low voice, “Not yet, but soon.” She went
quietly in this manner to all the jars, giving the same answer, till she came to the last jar which was filled with oil.
By this means Morgiana found that her master Ali Baba had let tens of robbers into his house, and that the
pretended oil merchant (冒牌的油商) was their captain. She filled her oil-pot quickly, and returned into her kitchen,
where as soon as she had lighted her lamp, she took a great kettle (壶), went again to the oil-jar, filled the kettle, set
it on a large wood fire and as soon as it boiled (煮沸), went and poured enough of the boiling oil into every jar with
a robber in to kill the robber within.
