满分技能专区:冲刺名师提醒,洞悉高考命题规律,提供提分干货
一、括号内给动词的三种填法:
1. 谓语动词方向,然后进一步考虑该谓语动词的时态、语态和主谓一致;
2. 非谓语动词方向,再结合语境逻辑和搭配考虑用动词不定式、-ing 形式或过去分词;
3. 动词词类转换方向,结合语境考虑动词转化为名词或转化为-ing/-ed 形容词。
二、填写动词时态语态和主谓一致“四看”:
1. 看句子明确的时间状语,如in the past three months;
2. 看句子特定的句型,如This is the first time that…;
3. 看主从句时态呼应,如状语从句考虑“主将从现”;
1.填写介词,需要考虑空前空后与动词、名词或形容词的固定搭配或习惯用法;
2.填写冠词,考虑a 和an 的区别,以及定冠词和不定冠词区别及词固定搭配;
3.填写连词,既要考虑并列句and, but 的选择又要考虑名词性从句、定语从句和状语从句连接词的选择;
4.填写代词,高频词是it,还有one,another, either, neither, that 等不定代词。

Surprise! A New Penguin
A team of 1 (science) in New Zealand recently came across the remains of a 2 (previous)
unknown species of penguine — by mistake. The 3 (discover) of the Waitaha penguin species, which has been
extinct for 500 years, is 4 (excite) news for the scientific community because it gives new insight into how
past extinction events can help shape the present environment.
The researchers uncovered the Waitaha penguin remains while studying New Zealand’s rare yellow-eyed
penguin. The team wanted to investigate the 5 (effect) humans have had on the now endangered species.
They studied centuries-old bones from what they thought were yellow-eyed penguins and compared them with the
bones of modern yellow-eyed penguins. 6 (surprising), some of the bones were older than they had been
expected. Even more shockingly, the DNA in the bones indicated that they did not belong to yellow-eyed penguins.
The scientists concluded that these very old bones must have belonged to a previously unknown species, which they
named the Waitaha penguin.
By studying the bones, scientists further concluded that the Waitaha penguin was once native to New Zealand.
But after the 7 (settle) of humans on the island country, its population was wiped out.
Based on the ages of the bones of both penguin species, the team discovered a gap in time between the 8
(disappear) of the Waitaha and the 9 (arrive) of the yellow-eyed penguin. The time gap indicates that the
extinction of the Waitaha penguin created the opportunity for the yellow-eyed penguin population to migrate to New
Zealand.
Though yellow-eyed penguins thrived (兴盛) in New Zealand for many years, that species now also faces
extinction. The yellow-eyed penguin today is considered one of the world’s 10 (rare) species of penguin,
with an estimated population of 7,000 that is now the focus of an extensive conservation effort in New Zealand.

Passenger pigeons (旅鸽) once flew over much of the United States in unbelievable numbers. When its
population reached its highest point, there were more than 3 billion of them. Even as late as 1870 when their numbers
had already become smaller, a flock 1 (believe) to be 1 mile wide and 320 miles long was seen near

sizable flocks had been seen in the state for 10 years. The last confirmed wild pigeon in the United States was shot
by a boy in Pike County, Ohio, in 1900. 9 a time, a few birds survived under human care. The last of them,
known 10 (affectionate) as Martha, died at the Cincinnati Zoological Garden on September 1,1914.
