Special Talk on “Career Planning in Art

and Design in the Age of AI” Held Successfully

4月12日，威尔士学院举办“英才致远”系列讲座，学院副教授林严冬以“AI浪潮下的艺术设计职业规划”为题做专题讲座。讲座围绕人工智能时代艺术设计行业的发展趋势、人才能力重构及大学阶段成长路径展开。

On April 12, the Wales College hosted a lecture in its Distinguished Talent Series. Associate Professor Lin Yandong delivered a talk titled Career Planning in Art and Design in the Age of AI, focusing on industry trends, evolving talent demands, and student development in the AI era.

讲座中，林严冬指出，AI正加速替代基础插画、排版、修图等重复性执行工作，行业门槛已从“软件熟练度”转向“审美判断力”与“综合认知能力”。他强调，未来行业真正稀缺的是能提出问题、整合创意、构建文化叙事的设计师，需坚守同理心、叙事力、审美主权与伦理责任等“人的维度”。针对学生关注的就业问题，他对比了传统岗位与AI新兴岗位的变化趋势，提出设计教育应加强跨学科能力、创新意识与全过程思维的培养。

During the lecture, Lin explained that AI is rapidly reshaping the art and design industry, shifting the focus from technical software skills to creativity, aesthetic judgment, and interdisciplinary thinking. He emphasized that future designers must strengthen uniquely human abilities such as empathy, storytelling, and cultural understanding.

In response to students’ concerns about employment, Lin also discussed the changing landscape of traditional and emerging AI-related design roles, encouraging students to build innovative thinking and broader professional skills.

本次讲座立足AI快速发展的时代背景，引导学生重新理解艺术设计教育的价值与核心能力方向，帮助学生建立职业认知、明确学习方向，提升未来就业竞争力。

The lecture helped students gain a clearer understanding of career development in the age of AI and provided guidance for their future studies and professional growth.
