Hence, knowledge derived from eras hundreds or thousands of years ago may seem unproductive in addressing contemporary issues, making the study of such knowledge appear irrelevant. Another reason is that students' energyis inherently limited, so the optimal approach for education to benefit both individuals and society is to focus on frontier theories and practical skills. If students are required to spare a certain amount of time on learning historical events, their efficiency in acquiring the most important knowledge may decline.

Nevertheless, I strongly believe that it is unwise to exclude ancient culture from modern education. First of all, reviewing history and tradition often provides modern people withan alternate perspective on the world. Hence, delving into the past may sometimes cast new light on tough challenges faced by modern people. For example, numerous conflicts and even wars in different regions today cry out for solutions. In these cases, resorting to the wisdom of ancient people and seeing whether they had experiences in addressing similar problems may sometimes be more productive than relying solely on modern ways of thinking. Furthermore, ancient culture is typically closely connected with elements like language, arts, and even cuisines, thereby representing the features of communities composed of a large number of people. Hence, digging into ancient culture and promoting it serve as effective ways to unite the people, providing cornerstones for modern governments to administer their residents.

In conclusion, while ancient culture may seem less immediately useful than modern technologies, its value to education should not be overlooked. By offering fresh perspectives and strengthening social cohesion, it equips students with what technical knowledge alone cannot provide. Thus, ancient culture deserves a place in the school curriculum.
