Now many people don’t sleep well at night because of stress. Sleep experts say you can train your brain to fall asleep.
Here are three suggestions about it.
Make a plan and stick to it.
Melatonin (褪黑素) is produced by your body to control when you get sleepy and when you wake up. To work
properly, the release (释放) of this melatonin needs to happen at stable (固定的) times. So if your bedtime and wake-up
time change from day to day, your body won’t know how to respond. So it’s important to have a standard wake-up time,
even on weekends.Don’t lie in bed awake.
The best sleep advice is to get up instead of lying in bed awake. Whether it’s the beginning of the night or the
midnight, if you’ve been awake for 20-30 minutes, get up. Don’t spend that time awake in bed. Building good relationship
between the bed and sleep can be helpful on nights when your plan has to be unstable because of work or travel.
Change your attitude (态度) about sleep.
Many people consider sleeping as the final thing they have to do in a busy day. That thinking needs to be changed.
See your as the amount of time you need in order to set yourself up for a productive tomorrow. Most adults need between
seven and eight hours of sleep to be fully rested.
51.What can we know about melatonin?
A.It doesn’t need to happen at stable times.
B.Our body can’t know how to respond it.
C.It needs regular bedtime and wake-up time.
52.Which one isn’t the expert’s suggestion?
A.Make a plan and stick to it.
B.Try to sleep as much as possible.

Maintain mental health
During a crisis like the novel coronavirus outbreak, healthy people may suffer even if they aren’t actually infected by
the virus. This is because the uncertainty of a crisis can be scary and stressful.
These types of situations can have a negative effect on your overall mental health. This stress can come from things
like the fear of becoming infected or worrying about loved ones.
People may also feel stressed for being stuck inside for a long period of time. For example, you may have been
feeling emotions like boredom, loneliness or anger if you have been staying at home under quarantine.
“For a lot of people, a day or two in isolation may be OK, but weeks without getting out of the house – the stress will
certainly build up,” Paul Yin, a psychologist who has experience with crisis counseling, told NBC News.
If you find yourself in this situation, you may be thinking, “Is what I’m feeling normal?” or “What can I do to deal
with all of this?” Even if you aren’t in an infected area, it’s natural to experience these emotions.
Let’s look at some healthy ways for you to manage some of these negative feelings.
Do what you can to stay informed about the virus. Rumors and speculation can feed feelings of anxiety, so be sure to
get your information from trusted sources like the government.
Follow basic hygiene practices. This includes things like washing your hands often and in the right way, using tissueswhen you sneeze or cough, and staying at home if you aren’t feeling well.
Have a daily routine. Eat a healthy and balanced diet and do some exercise every day. You can also use this time to
explore new hobbies and keep busy.
Stay connected. During stressful times, it can feel like you’re alone. But you aren’t! You can talk to friends and
family about your feelings.
“The key is to take good care of the body, arrange a reasonable schedule, ensure adequate sleep and diet, and get the
necessary rest and relaxation,” Zhang Hong, deputy chief physician of Wuhan Mental Health Center, said. After all, your
mental health is just as important as your physical health.
56.The uncertainty of a crisis can have a negative effect on________.
A.physical health B.mental health C.daily life
57.According to the author, if someone is stuck inside for a long time, ________.
A.he will be happy B.he will be angry C.he will have some mental problem
58.________ can feed feelings of anxiety.
A.Trusted information B.Rumors C.Balanced diet
59.How many methods does the author mention to deal with negative emotions?
A.Two. B.Three. C.Four.

Copenhagen, the capital and largest city of Denmark, is in the eastern part of the country on the eastern coast of
Zealand. The city was founded in 1160 as a trade center and a fortress (堡垒). 1
In the 1980s, the environment in Copenhagen was heavily polluted and there were only a few kinds of fish and birds.
2 The waterways are clean enough for people to swim in, go sailing and go fishing. Fish, birds and plants have
returned.
3 Here is the reason—bicycles, the most common form of transport. In 2016, there were 675,000 bicycles
and just 120,000 cars on the streets. Around 62% of the people in the city go to work or school by bike and almost one third
of all journeys across the city are done with this form of transport. The wide use of bicycles has made a big difference to air
quality. Using renewable (可再生的) energy helps too. The city has developed wind and solar energy and used waste to
make clean energy. They plan to save 25% in energy in all public buildings. 4 Around one quarter of the city areais made up of green spaces like parks, lakes, coast or natural areas. Since 2010, all newly-built buildings should have green
roofs. These roofs not only help take in particle (颗粒) pollution, but also collect 80% of the rainwater.
Copenhagen is doing its best to become the first city to go carbon-neutral (碳中和的) by 2025. 5
A.Besides, more green public spaces are created.
B.Computers are used to check the use of energy.
C.It really sets an example to cities around the world.
D.How has a heavily polluted port become a green city?
E.It was created to protect the Danish trade and shipping.

三、阅读表达。(共 10小题,计20分)
A. 完成图表。根据短文内容,完成图表中所缺信息。(共5小题;每小题2分,计10 分)
Do you accept (接纳) yourself? It may sound like a strange question. Don’t we accept ourselves as a regular part of
our life? However, the truth is that many of us have trouble accepting ourselves as who we are. It’s not so hard to accept the
good parts of ourselves, but what about the rest? Surely people don’t want to accept things like their flaws (缺陷) or failure.
In fact, that’s exactly what we should do.
Rosy and Daisy, two 12-year-old school girls, got the same message on their phones, and it said, “You are fat and
ugly; Open your eyes a little wider”. Rosy was in very low spirits and worried that the message would affect her. As a result,
she didn’t go to school for a month. However, Daisy cared little about the message, and she reminded herself that she is a
worthwhile (值得被爱) person, although she is a little fat.
How Daisy thought of the message is called self-acceptance (自我接纳). To practice self-acceptance, you need to like
yourself the way you are, even if you have flaws or make mistakes. However, self-acceptance is not an excuse (借口) for
accepting your bad behaviour. It is the acceptance of yourself as an imperfect person: someone with strengths but also
someone who makes mistakes.
With self-acceptance, you will become calmer and happier because you are not always trying to be someone else.
When you accept yourself, you start seeing your good points. Besides, it can also help you make better friends because you
feel comfortable being real. So we need to learn to accept ourselves.
Of course, accepting yourself is a journey that you need to practice throughout your whole life, not a final destination
(目的地). So, starting today, try telling yourself: “I may not be perfect, but I am still worthy (值得) of love and acceptance.”
Accept yourselves as who you are
● many of us have trouble accepting ourselves as who we are
1
● people don’t want to accept things like their flaws or 2
● the message left Rosy in 3 spirits
