Notice
With the aim of enriching our extracurricular activities and deepening our appreciation of traditional culture,
we have arranged a visit to the exhibition of ancient Chinese art at the City Art Gallery.
The exhibition, including delicate ceramics, exquisite paintings, and fine calligraphy, will last from 9:00 a.m.
to 4:00 p.m. next Saturday. What deserves emphasizing is that it offers a rare glimpse into China’s profound
historical heritage.
Those who are interested should gather at the school gate at 8:00 a.m. that day. Also of primary note is that
everyone should follow the gallery rules and remain quiet during the visit.

The next morning I told my mom I was going to take her to a place. Her eyes brightened with surprise, and a
faint smile appeared on her face. I helped her put on her coat, held her arm gently and led her to the car. She kept
asking where we were going, and I just said it was a surprise. When we arrived, she recognized the cozy market she
used to visit. The familiar smells and voices made her eyes sparkle, and she stepped forward slowly, regaining a
little confidence.
After the trip, my mom whispered what would stay in my heart forever. Holding my hand tightly, she said
softly, “Thank you for bringing me here. Today, I don’t feel useless anymore — I can still pick my favorite
vegetables.” Tears of joy filled her eyes. I hugged her, apologizing for losing my temper. She patted my back,
saying love was all that mattered. I realized that loving parents means protecting their dignity and being patient
with their weakness.
