According to The National Report on Vision (视力), the population of Chinese with shortsightedness (近
视) has reached 600 million, and about 70% of the teenagers (aged from 13 to 19) are shortsighted.
China Daily reported more serious vision problems in China in 2019. In the report, 80% senior high school
students are short-sighted, followed by 71% in junior high school, 36% in primary school and 14% of 6-year-olds.
The shocking numbers are still rising these days. What causes this eyesight problem? Besides family history,
