WPS Faces Backlash Over ‘C-Drive Assassin’ Controversy C盘空间被大幅占用,回应

Chinese office software giant WPS is facing a severe reputational crisis after users accused it of forcibly writing massive cache and backup files to the C drive, causing significant system slowdowns. 

The topic trended on Weibo, with users reporting that even when the software is installed on other drives, it occupies dozens of gigabytes of system space in the background, with residual files difficult to remove after uninstallation. 

Kingsoft Office, WPS’s parent company, responded by stating it has formed a special task force and will soon roll out optimization measures, including a more prominent cache settings entry, one-click cleanup, and customizable storage paths, emphasizing these features are free.

近日，“被WPS背刺了”词条一度冲上微博热搜。

不少网友反映，金山办公旗下办公产品WPS占用C盘空间较多、影响电脑使用，如何清理、如何修改的方式也令用户感到困惑。以此为契机，众多用户又开始讨论WPS会员收费复杂、功能设限等问题。

6月23日，金山办公方面向澎湃新闻回应称，WPS会在本地保留一份云文档缓存副本，是为了让用户在手机、电脑等多终端之间打开同一份文件时无需重复下载，这也是云盘类产品的通行设计。正因如此，使用云文件较多、操作较频繁的用户，本地缓存占用相对会更明显。

金山办公指出，针对这一情况，以下操作均为免费，可有效降低C盘占用：一是修改存储位置，在“WPS云盘”功能设置以及“文件—备份与恢复—备份中心”中，可将缓存和备份保存位置更改至其他磁盘；二是清理本地缓存与备份，用户可手动操作完成，且不会影响已保存在云端的文件；三是安装时自定义路径，用户可在安装WPS时自行选择安装位置。

Chinese regulators have tightened one of the remaining channels for gaining exposure to overseas assets through derivatives, the latest sign that authorities are continuing efforts to close regulatory loopholes and curb domestic investors’ access to higher-risk offshore markets.

Rather than launching another high-profile crackdown like last month’s action against unlicensed offshore brokers, including Futu and Tiger Brokers, regulators have instead targeted total return swaps (TRS) through so-called “window guidance” – verbal instructions conveyed to domestic brokerages on Tuesday evening, according to people familiar with the matter.

Brokerages, which often work with private funds to provide such products, were instructed to suspend any expansion of offshore-related portfolios, including new TRS contracts and increases in the size of existing mandates, one person said.

Existing portfolios linked to offshore assets are not subject to immediate liquidation.

A TRS is a derivative contract in which one party receives a fixed or floating payment stream, while the other receives the total return of a reference asset, such as an equity index, a basket of shares, loans or bonds.

券商暂停股票类跨境TRS新增 后续业务规模或将逐步归零

记者多方了解到，昨日券商起正按照监管要求，暂停股票类跨境TRS（Total Return Swap，即跨境收益互换业务）新增规模，存量头寸可正常到期、平仓、不强制砍仓。目前除了股票类跨境TRS，期货类、城投债类以及部分FICC、北向相关业务，暂不受影响。该业务自2024年初已处于限制净新增状态，目前各家券商仍在等待细则口径，明确新增暂停的具体执行标准。券商衍生品业务人士反馈，从目前窗口指导的理解看，更接近于股票类跨境TRS不再新增开仓，存量合约到期后逐步压降。据了解，当前股票类跨境TRS通道费普遍在1%-2%，是券商高创收项目之一。

ByteDance’s Doubao on Wednesday launched a professional subscription tier based on its latest Doubao 2.1 family of artificial intelligence (AI) models, introducing paid plans that offer AI agent capabilities and higher usage limits.

The Doubao Pro service provides access to the Doubao 2.1 Pro model and can perform agent-based tasks such as interacting with a user’s computer, using web browsers, invoking skills and running scheduled tasks. A key selling point is an office mode that can execute agent‑based tasks, according to news outlet Securities Times.

The service adopts a three-tier pricing structure. The standard plan costs 68 yuan per month, while enhanced and premium plans are priced at 200 yuan and 500 yuan per month, respectively. ByteDance said users of the free version will continue to have access to new AI models, and basic features – including search Q&A, writing, image generation, and voice/video chats – will stay free forever.
