Pre-listening:

(扫清词汇和句型）Here, first of all, I’d like you to do the match exercise on the
PPT so as to learn some new words and important expressions/phrases/sentence structures
in the listening material. As you can see, on the left part of this PPT, there are some words
related with XX, and on the right part, there are some pictures/meanings. Can you match the
words on the left with the pictures/meanings on the right? Who can have a try? OK, Lucy, tell
me your choice. Great, your answer is almost right, but there is a small mistake. Did you find it?
En, the first word is “knowledgeable”(在黑板上板书写上这个单词), this word means “知识渊
博的”, it is the adjective form of acknowledge. And the second word is “airport”, before I
tell you the meaning of this word, I think we can combine what we have learned with what we are
going to learn today. I will give you some hints, when we say “by air” in English it means “乘飞
机”， and “air” is related with “飞机”, and “port” is a place where we park a ship or other
vehicles. So, class, after you have understood these, can anyone tell me the Chinese meaning of
this word? Lily, please, yes, very good. It means “飞机场” in Chinese. So, this can be matched
with this picture/meaning, and this word represents XX, and this is a picture about XX.
Next, let’s see some important sentence structures on the screen. The first one is “it
takes/took sb some time to do sth”. what does it mean? Yes, “”... and the question
sentence of this instruction is ? how long does/did it takes sb to do sth.
For example: how long does it take you to go home?
Who can make a sentence? Don’t be shy, just have a try. Tom, do you want to have

While-listening:
(1st) OK, since you have mastered the new words and expressions/phrases/sentence
structures in the listening material, let’s listen to the listening material. For the first time, I
will read it for you. Please listen to me carefully, and try to catch some key words and at lastsummarize the main idea, OK? (you should try to catch some key words and at last
summarize the main idea of it) After that, I will check whether you understand it or not, clear?
