含义 表示过去某一时刻或某一时间段正在进行的动作
标志词time, at this time yesterday, at 8:00 yesterday morning, all night 及when/while
用
法
区
①既指时间点，也可指时间段；后可接终止性动词，也可接延续性动词
②从句的动作和主句的动作可以是同时，也可以是先后发生
When
③when 后一般接过去式：When the teacher came in, we were talking.
④表“突然”：I was having my dinner when there was a sudden knock at the door.
