Office Manager - Australia

The Role
This position serves as the core back-office management role for the Australian subsidiary during its trial operation and initial development phase, with overall responsibility for finance, taxation, legal compliance, general administration, and local business liaison. Acting as the key interface between the subsidiary and external accounting firms, law firms, banks, and local partner organizations, this role ensures the company's compliant, smooth, and efficient operations in Australia.
Responsibilities
Financial and Tax Management
Manage day‑to‑day accounting, fund allocation and reconciliation, cash flow management, and other internal financial activities of the subsidiary.
Liaise with partner accounting firms and tax agents to ensure timely completion of tax filings, annual audits, and other compliance matters.
Maintain relationships with local banks and handle account transactions, settlements, cross‑border fund transfers, and related matters.
Review and optimize internal financial processes, and identify and control basic financial risks.
Legal and Compliance Management
Participate in the initial review and internal circulation of commercial contracts and cooperation agreements, and identify legal and compliance risks in day‑to‑day operations.
Coordinate with external counsel or in‑house legal staff to drive the establishment and implementation of the subsidiary's internal compliance systems.
Research and track Australian local regulations (Company Law, Tax Law, Labor Law, etc.) relevant to business operations to ensure the company remains fully compliant.
Assist in handling legal matters such as business scope adjustments and article/statute amendments.
General Administration and Business Liaison
Leverage familiarity with Australian local culture and business environment to manage day‑to‑day business communications, public relations, and government‑business relationships.
Coordinate various administrative matters during the subsidiary's early operations (e.g., office leasing, equipment procurement, vendor management, basic HR support) to ensure the orderly progression of trial operations.
Liaise with local resident directors, partner service providers, and other external parties to resolve day‑to‑day operational issues.
Complete other general management tasks as assigned by superiors.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
Have long‑term local study or work experience in Australia, with a deep understanding of Australian culture, business practices, and the operating environment.
Identify with the company's development philosophy, be able to work stably in Australia, and quickly engage in the various tasks during the trial operation phase.
Professional Competencies
Financial capability: Possess foundational experience in corporate financial operations and fund management, and be able to independently liaise with third‑party institutions such as tax agents, auditors, and banks.
Legal and compliance capability: Have exposure to corporate contract management or compliance‑related work, be able to preliminarily identify operational risks, and assist in building a compliance framework.
General management capability: Demonstrate strong business communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills; be adept at liaising with multiple parties and maintaining relationships; and possess strong organizational and execution abilities.
Other Requirements
Work meticulously with a strong sense of responsibility and high risk awareness, and strictly safeguard the company's operational and financial information.
Adapt to a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking work environment typical of a start‑up overseas subsidiary; be proactive in driving various matters and possess a "generalist" mindset.
