(2025·湖北武汉·模拟预测)In early November, 13-year-old Lin Jiawen, a student at Beijing Academy,
bought a rabbit card holder made by the school’s Cultural Creativity Club. It cost just 7.9 yuan. “I love this design
because it has our school’s logo,” said Lin.
The Cultural Creativity Club is one of the most popular clubs in the school. It was started after a school trip
to Henan earlier this year. “The province’s rich culture inspired us to create products that mix tradition with modern
style,” said Peng Shaohang, 14, one of the club’s founders.

drone (无人机) to show intelligence and science, and the happy rabbit plays guitar to spread joy. “This card holder
isn’t just useful. It’s a daily reminder of these values,” said Gao Yixuan, 14, another club member.
The club’s products are sold both online and offline. Money from sales supports students in need and social

(24-25九年级下·湖北武汉·月考)I enjoy working in the wild. As a nature photographer, I have to brave
all the bad weather. However, the best thing about this job is that you can carefully watch animals in their natural
environment.
★ . As the world’s first national park, Yellowstone is famous for the variety (多样性) of its wildlife but
probably best known for its bears. These huge strong animals can live for 30 years. Despite a weight of up to 300
kilograms, they can still run at a speed of around 64 kilometers per hour.
Last spring in the park, I followed a path that took me through a dark forest. When I finally stepped out of

(2025·湖北武汉·模拟预测)The digital age has brought about a significant change in the way people
read. E-books have become increasingly popular in recent years. They offer several advantages over traditional
printed books. For one, e-books are more convenient. You can carry a whole library of e-books on a single device,
such as a tablet or an e-reader. This means you can access your favorite books anytime, anywhere, without having
to carry heavy books around.
Another advantage of e-books is that they are often cheaper than printed books. Publishers can save on
printing and distribution costs, which allows them to offer e-books at a lower price. Additionally, many e-book
platforms offer free or discounted books, making reading more accessible to a wider audience.
However, e-books also have some drawbacks. One of the main concerns is the impact on eyesight. Reading
on digital screens for long periods can cause eye strain, headaches, and may even affect your vision in the long run.
The blue light emitted by screens is especially harmful. To address this issue, some devices now come with features
like blue-light filters and adjustable screen settings to reduce the impact on eyesight.
Another issue is the lack of a tactile (触觉的) experience. Many people enjoy the feeling of holding a
physical book, turning its pages, and the smell of paper. E-books cannot replicate (复制) these sensory experiences.
Moreover, in case of a power outage or technical problems with the device, you may not be able to access your e-
books.
Despite these drawbacks, the popularity of e-books continues to grow. With the development of technology,
e-book reading experience is constantly improving. For example, new e-readers are being designed to be more
comfortable to hold and have better-quality displays. As more people embrace digital reading, it’s likely that the
future of reading will be a combination of both e-books and traditional printed books.
26.What is one of the advantages of e-books?
A.They are always free. B.They can improve eyesight.
C.They offer a tactile experience. D.They are convenient to carry.
27.Why are e-books often cheaper than printed books?
A.They are of lower quality. B.Publishers save on costs.
C.There are fewer e-books available. D.They are not as popular as printed books.
28.What is the main problem of reading e-books?
A.They are difficult to find. B.They may harm eyesight.
C.They cannot be shared. D.They take up too much space on the device.
29.What does the underlined word “drawbacks” in Paragraph 3 mean?
A.Disadvantages. B.Advantages. C.Features. D.Improvements.
30.What can we infer from the passage?
A.E-books will replace printed books completely in the future.
B.Printed books will no longer be produced.
C.The combination of e-books and printed books will be the trend.
D.People will stop reading printed books because of e-books.
