教学目标
According to the teaching material and Junior School English curriculum standard provision, I can
confirm the following teaching aims.
1. Knowledge Objects
(1) Words and expressions:
pass, borrow, lend, finger, hate, chore, while
(2)Sentences:
---Could you please take out the rubbish?
--- Yes, sure.
---Could I borrow your money?
--- Yes, you can.
2. Ability Objects
(1) Improve students’ ability of self study by watching micro videos before class and finding out
what they don’t understand.
(2) To be able to make polite requests.
(3) To be able to ask for permission politely.
3. Moral objects
Encourage the students to make polite requests and permission politely.

八年级的学生在英语方面已经有了一定的基础,听说读写能力有很大的提高,愿意用英语表达
自己的想法;在学习上也有了自己的学习方式并能自觉完成老师安排的任务;但是在自信和语
言能力培养上还需要加强。

活动1【导入】Who is the polite star
Who is the polite star?
If a student can do a good job, he or she will get a star. Then at the end of the
class, who can get the most stars, he or she will be the polite star.
活动2【导入】Review
1.Show pictures which are covered half and ask students students to guess what t
hey are doing.2. Free talk.
First, the teacher asks: Did you do any chores for your family last night? What did
you do?
SS answer freely.
Then students ask one by one.
活动3【活动】pair-work
3. Pair work.
First, T asks students what chores they like or dislike and why.
Then, students do pair work with their partners.
A: Did you … last night?
B:…
A: What chores did you do?
B:…
A: Do you like…?
B:…
A: Why do you like/dislike …?
B: Because…
活动4【导入】Lead in
1. Ask the students to watch three micro videos and ask students why the boy in
the videos agreed to help girl at last to lead in “Could you please...?”.Then ask the students what they have learned by watching a micro video about
“could” last night to let students understand the usage of “could”.
Show three sentences and ask students to find the meaning of “could” in each
sentence.
活动5【讲授】Grammar focus
1. Finish 4b to consolidate the use of “could” in a conversation.
Ask students to add “could you please...?” or “could I...” to the short sentences
and read new sentences with “could”.
Ask students to look at P20 and students will find that all sentences in grammar
focus are the same as the sentences on the screen. Then ask students to read
grammar focus and pay attention to “ Could you please...” and “ Could I...?”.
Pair work and show their conversations.
活动6【讲授】Explain “borrow” and “lend”
Finish 4a.
First , ask students to write R and P before the sentences.
Then, ask students to match questions with answers and ask one students to
draw lines on the screen.
Ask students to watch a video and find out what's the matter with the girl.
Watch again and ask students what she should do to lead in “borrow” and “lend”.
Ask students to watch a micro video that students watched last night to learn the
usage of “borrow” and “lend”.
活动7【活动】4c: Group work
1. Make a list of things your group needs to do for a camping trip. Then discuss
who will do them and complete the chart.
2. Ask two or three groups to act out their group work.活动8【练习】Chant

Review and finish exercise book on p23.
