3.通过用英语讲述自己的故事,激发学生学英语的积极性。
3学情分析
本课的教学内容是人教版八年级英语下册第五单元的第一课时,通过讲述自己的经历,激发
学生的兴趣,学会运用过去进行时,任务以听说为主。重点是过去进行时的学习和运用,情感目
标定为培养学生学习英语的积极性和兴趣,并体会生活中如何用英语来交流。
4重点难点

2. To grasp the past progressive tense.

一、教学目标

1. Words and expressions: rainstorm, suddenly, alarm, go off, pick up,
strange,at the time of, at that time
2. Grammar: the past progressive tense
三.重点难点
1. To improve the interest and skills of listening.
2. To grasp the past progressive tense.
四.教学思路
本课的教学内容是人教版八年级英语下册第五单元的第一
课时,通过讲述自己的经历,激发学生的兴趣,学会运用过去进行时,任
务以听说为主。重点是过去进行时的学习和运用,情感目标定为培养
学生学习英语的积极性和兴趣,并体会生活中如何用英语来交流。

六、教学过程
Step1:Pre-task
1.Greetings!
2. Look at some phrases on the screen, then read and write together.
【设计意图】:通过一看.二读,三写的过程,复习学过的短语,为下边作铺
垫。
3.Look at a picture, and ask “How’s the weather?”to lead to study new
words in groups.
【设计意图】:通过对天气的询问,以及风雨等声音的提示,自然过渡到
新授。
Step2:Whi-taskRecite some important sentences to practice the words and phrases
more.
(1). My alarm didn’t go off so I woke up late.
(2). I was waiting for the bus when it began to rain heavily.
(3). When were you doing when the rainstorm suddenly came?
【设计意图】:帮助学生进一步地理解新单词,并运用最后一个句子引出
重点句型的新授。
2. Presentation: Yesterday, there was a rainstorm. What were they doing
when the rainstorm came
【设计意图】通过图片的呈现,引导学生用过去进行时去进行问答。
Practice asking and answering with pictures like this:
A: What were you doing when the rainstorm came?
B: I was studying in the library.
A: Where was she when the rainstorm came?
B: She was in the library.
【设计意图】:培养学生组织语言的能力,为下边的1a ,1b作铺垫。
Step3:Pos-task
Finish 1a and 1b , and check the answers on the screen, d then do the
exercise on the screen.

=What were you doing at the time of rainstorm?
【设计意图】:培养学生发现问题的能力,并自然地过渡到1c的对话中。
2. Listen and number the pictures [1-5] in 2a , then listen and fill in the
blanks in the sentences .
3. Summing up: What did you learn in this class?【设计意图】: 检验学生对本节课的掌握情况,有助于教师的及时反思
和下节课任务的完成。
3.Homework: Remember the words and phrases in this class.
