2学情分析
本课时部分归纳和谈论了叙述故事所用的一些问句及句式,主要训练学生在讲故事的过程中
合理运用unless, as soon as and so…that…连接句子,使句子连贯,句意通顺,情节紧凑。本课时
对学生语篇整合及表达输出都有较高要求。
本班级学生对英语学习有较浓厚兴趣,基础较好,热爱英语表达,因此可以多创设机会激发学
生的表达兴趣。

4.1.1教学活动
活动1【导入】Warming-up and leading in
Point to the whiteboard and tell students we’ll go on learning Unit 6 An old man tr
ied to move the mountains. It’ a famous story and let students to think over what
stories do they remember.
Ask students if they what to share their favorite story to others, what could they t
alk about?
(Four aspects: 1).What do you think of the story?
2).What’s the story about?
3).Who’s the main character?
4).What does the story remind us?)
活动2【讲授】Focus on What’s the story about
1.Tell the story in time order
Stories are always written in time order. That means the story starts with How doe
s the story begin? What happened next? What was the ending? Focus attention o
n the pictures. Ask students to tell what’s the story? Then ask students to tell the s
tory one picture by one picture in time order. (Present some key words to help stu
dents talk about the pictures.)
2.Use conjunctions
After telling the story of Yugong Moves the mountains, ask students if they want t
o emphasize or build tension, what can they do. Students may mention many way
s, tell students we can also use the conjunctions.Present three conjunctions unless, as soon as, so…that…. Ask students to match th
e words with the Chinese meanings.
Then finish 4a. Fill in the blanks with unless, as soon as or so…that…This activity gi
ves students practice in using the conjunctions in context. Check the answers and
point out the new words.
3.Group work. Present nine pictures respectively from Snow White, Nuwa repairs
the sky and Emperor’s New Clothes (three pictures at a time). Ask students to talk
about the picture with conjunctions unless, as soon as, so…that….
4.Summarize: When telling the stories, we can tell in time order and use conjuncti
ons.
活动3【讲授】Focus on aspect3.Who’s the main character
1. Work on 4b. This activity gives students practice in using the correct forms of
the verbs. Correct the answers.
2. Ask students what’s the main character in this passage. What does the writer
think of the Monkey King. What can he do? After students thinking over, ask
them what can they talk about when describing the main character. Possible
answers: What do you think of the main character? The abilities. The looks….
3. Ask students to think over the main characters in Snow White, Nuwa repairs
the sky and Emperor’s New Clothes. Talk about what do you think of them.
活动4【活动】Group work
Work in groups and hare favorite story.
Ask students to make presentations and share their favorite in four aspects
